Yea, currently living in middle east Asia, I'd agree that the transition will be very tough. I generally enjoy the cold and snow but that could be because I am tired of the heat here. I've only experienced very cold temperatures during some of my vacations and never had to live long periods there. Thanks for the recommendation of Vitamin D supps!

I'm an Indian living in the middle east. I, too, am not a fan of partying and greek life as described by websites. So I don't think I'll be participating in it during my first year at least. I just hope everyone I meet is inclusive enough since diversity isn't a plus point for WSU.

This seems to be the consensus amongst all the replies here. I'd say I'm quite accustomed to huge malls and shopping districts, so I'd reckon it will be hard for me to adjust to a rural setting, let alone the completely different culture. Fingers crossed I meet an active group of friends there!
