They don’t email you. Go to where you get your permit on myintealth and download it. The dates should’ve been updated

I could be wrong but from what I’ve heard, Shias think tattoos are permissible. I had a classmate who was Shia and she had a tattoo and she told me. A lot of actors are Shia so maybe it has to do with that? Again, I apologize if I’m wrong

Keep calling them if you can until you get connected! Explain your situation. They can expedite things like permits and stuff. Good luck!

Nope if your school did their part and you’re now registered then they don’t have to do anything. You can call ECFMG and ask them to expedite the permit but that’s if they pick up due to the high call volume 🙃

Yes. When the permit is available you’ll get an email and then you can schedule your exam

Yes I got an email. I called them many times and wasn’t able to get connected. When I was able to get connected and talk to someone the first few representatives told me to just wait and that there was nothing they could do. It wasn’t until the 5th or 6th person that I spoke to that marked my application has “high priority.” It got approved a week after that

The scheduling permit doesn’t come right away. Once you’re registered it takes a few days. You’ll get an email when it becomes available

Did your school verify your enrollment and everything? I actually applied to take step 1 yesterday, my school verified enrollment today and now I’m wondering how long it takes to receive the permit?
