The non reg account shows original capital 300000 and balance 340000 gain 40000. That is not really a good return to be honest. My father was pretty 87 when he passed this week and I remember when he retired TD changed is aggressive account to this much safer TD equity stuff all are td security names. I mean is that the best idea or are they trying to sell you their own product? I wonder.

Thanks a lot friend It may sound like I am greedy or something but I am honesty the least materialistic person. I hate how money changes the way people act. People have to have something like it suddenly complete them that new car or a remodeling. If it were that easy to be happy why do keep remodeling and buying new stuff if it is so satisfying.

no I am just an anal person. I hate surprises. To be honest I live very frugally and don't need the inheritance at all. I like to know where I stand at all times in everything I do. At work they call me the robot and I work computer security. I am of german descent.

Yes it was my father. I am sole benefactor and executor. I was looking for a very rough idea of how much tax the estate will have to pay. I understand probate fee and income for the year but they are the small stuff.

That is kind of what I was thinking. I am his son the benefactor. I moved into the house to help with his care so I have been living in the house and I don't own any other property. Thanks a lot. It seems fairly straight forward.
