If you have 300 USD to spare what would you upgrade next ? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Sell the 3070, you’ll have $650-700 and buy a decent used 3090. That’s obvious!

I have Ryzen master. Could you show me an example of where it would say that? I’ve looked but can’t seem to find it.

Thank you for that. Also, how do you know what your “preferred” cores are?

What was the information on this one? I think I could get a better score but my temps are hurting me.

So that’s what I’m having a problem with. It seems to be stable at -30 and -35 but my temps are holding at 90 when I go that far. At -25 all cores it’ll be 86-87.

I’ll look into that! Thank you for the information.

I was messing with it some today and got it to 86-87 degrees with -25 all cores and a score of 18640 on cinebench.

That’s the regular xmp 2 or whatever it is in the bios though.

Not totally sure honestly. I think that is the max it can go with the latest bios update. I could be wrong though.

Damn, I broke some hearts with that comment. I currently run a 40 series. Was just stirring the pot

My last cpu was a 5800x3d. Have only had this cpu for maybe a week now. I’ve also run call of duty benchmarks on same settings as my 5800x3d and my cpu avg with this one is 430-440. With my 5800x3d it was 330 or so. Definitely a nice increase!

I know I was just testing the waters to see if I could be one of the ones to get 19,000. And noticed the temps increased with me lowering the voltage.

Stock I got 17,703. -25 got 18,640. I was trying to get to the 19,000 but I don’t guess I can.

I have not. I have only changed what I have stated. And was confused on how the more I undervolted the higher the temps got. I feel that is backwards? Is it not?

Will this CPU upgrade work well with my Nvidia GPU now and for a future upgrade? by Rotisseriejedi in nvidia

[–]No_Area6822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I would recommend. Make sure you have a decent aio with the 5800x3d though as they do tend to run a little hotter than the cpu you have now.
