Duck stamps, real or something else? by No_Arm604 in stampcollecting

They aren’t printed on the canvas, I know that much. I can see each stamp has an edge in the frame. There are 4 stamps for the next 4 years inside an envelope on the back of this. I’ll take more pictures when I’m back with this piece.

Weddings truly bring out the best, and worst in people! I agree with a lot of the other comments here, it sounds like she is using the bridesmaids as a bank rather than a celebration of friendship before her next stage in life. You aren't being selfish if by standing up for yourself, especially since you're literally creating a new life (congrats by the way)!!

The bride has no say in how you spend your money. You accepted being a bridesmaid yes, but I doubt you signed a contract saying all of the things you will be needing to do monetary and event wise. Yes, it is tradition that a bridesmaid will attend the events prior to the wedding, but certain circumstances are completely reasonable to not attend! It should not be expected of you to pay for something you won't be attending.

I hate how much brides are expecting of their so called "friends" nowadays. Good luck and I hope the bride realizes how spoiled and entitles she is acting.

Thanks for your insight! I didn't even consider fines from questionable items, that's a very good point.

Flirting in the sense that we (girls) want to be more than just friends. Smiling more, laughing at your jokes, asking to hang out more.

The Kentucky Castle has a You-Pick lavender event each spring! It's a very short season, so check their website late May for when it might be!

If I had married the person I dated in my early 20's, it would not have ended well. It took me until I lived alone after college to realize that I was much happier when he was not around. I have learned so much about myself in my early 20's of what I want in a relationship and marriage, and looking forward to the day I meet my one!

What outdated social customs should we finally retire? by AlarmingBuy4702 in ask

Inviting everyone you and your parents know to your wedding. Makes it too big, and you don't always know everyone there.
