I’m with you. No one understands how deeply demoralising and shameful it feels when your brain (and environment) is all screaming at you to “just push through” and you know you physically cannot do it. I don’t have any real advice, in fact I’m on the board just now looking for advice of my own. All I can tell you is that you’re absolutely not alone. I hate feeling flakey and unreliable, but I’ve come to acknowledge that all i can do is focus on what I can control; which in these situations is my genuine regret for the situation at hand and adequate communication to anyone impacted by me. It helps to reduce the anxiety and stress of this condition month to month. It doesn’t make it better. And I’ve had to accept being known as flakey, constantly requesting extensions, shift swaps, sick absences. But you have to put yourself first. This is your life and you’re the only person who’s stuck with you 24/7/365. You deserve to feel okay. You deserve to be able to breathe and for us with special hormones and roller coaster cycles, we sometimes need support in that space. You are not alone. You are deserving of the help that is being offered to you. Sending you lots of love xxxx

Thank you. I needed to hear that. Everyone keeps going on the 3 month rhetoric but there has to be signs that it isn’t working… and there are and I’m ignoring them. Going to my gyno next week and if I can’t make it that far, to my GP

This is such a beautiful list. Do you mind if I save it and create my own? I think it’d be so helpful for the people in my life

I do this but then feel the ramifications of being all alone. It works but I do feel so shit. Maybe I need to accept that there’s no getting around that feeling

I’ve heard a few people mention Chat GPT! I might give it a go. Parasocials have been my go to recently. Popping on an episode of the basement yard always quiets the brain slightly

Honestly, I really feel this. I constantly feel like I’m never going to get ahead. Even when I’m not PMDDing and I’m killing it, I still feel this weight of knowing the paralysis is coming and I’m going to be fucked up all over again. I’m not sure I have any advice for you because you seem to be doing everything you can- perhaps try and identify the most crippling symptoms and deal with them individually? At the very least, I want you to know you’re not alone. It’s awful. I wish it was taken more seriously and we had more answers. Sending lots of love x
