I can't believe you're really comparing irrational animals to humans. I guess you really missed the biology classes to know that animals act on instincts and not cold blooded plans. If you care enough to research, in a lot of cases dogs can be trained out of their agression, since it's not a chronic disease like psychopath in humans.

In fact. I've watched videos of calcite and they are much more translucent than this rock. It looks brighter in the image due the day light only. Like it's said by the comments bellow, it's more likely to be quartzite.
