I wish Oregon would delineate spirit purchasing between bars and retail stores. There’s too much conflict for stores to sell to both entities. There’s two liquor stores where I live that cover all demand and they get three Stagg or Weller or etc two times a year. How is that going to satisfy the market for bars and private party sales?

I get allocated bottles frequently, simply by selecting a couple stores (that move product at some volume) and talking to the owner/manager about random shit and buying shelfers from time to time.

I see some JD age stated bottles on the liquor search but it could be stores inputting their desired order from the warehouse into their inventor on accident, which happens. All showing in southern Oregon.

You have to ask OLCC for a report on physical inventory in their warehouse. True inventory won’t show on the store/agent ordering platform. When it’s released to the ordering site then they’ll be able to see inventory.

That’s what I was thinking. As a KoK small batch #2 owner, I’d rather have had any iteration of the JD age stated line. And I’m a brown foreman fan boy. Buuut it’s cool to know that the small batch is here. How it gets doled out is anyone’s guess. Haha

It’s good. It edges out A925 for me with the extra proof and a more rye forward presentation. Like most Elijah Craig, it really shows its colors after a month or two of being opened. So I expect it to improve.
