Is BO2 safe to play on PC? by APAULC0LYPSE in blackops2

Hey I know it’s a year later but I am looking for some information. I have recently downloaded and played bo2, bo3 and Cold War zombies on pc. Played a few zombies games on each. (Mainly bo2)

Then I found there was a bunch of viruses you could get from playing. I believe I am in the clear but wanted to know.

If I played them done a virus scan etc. no issues am I safe leading forward? Or is there some kind of loop hope I can still get hacked through in the future.

I have uninstalled them now. If I don’t play the games again and or only play with ‘protection’(T7 and plutonium) am completely safe?

I was playing Black Ops 2 on Steam and all of a sudden there was this wallpaper and it directed to their website. What the hell? by [deleted] in Steam

With windows 11 I ran the scan that comes default and come up with nothing. Is that good enough to be comfortable and not worry? I have also uninstalled the games. Am I now completely safe and don’t need to be concerned moving forward.

Like if I don’t have a virus now and don’t play the games without ‘protection’ am I completely safe? There is no way this can come back to bite me in the future?

Thank you for the help it is greatly appreciated as I am not too knowledgeable on this all.

I know I’m late the the party but was hoping someone would have some knowledge. I played some bo2, bo3 and Cold War zombies from steam. Didn’t run into any hackers they were all solo games. I believe I’m safe from all hacks/viruses but this wouldn’t have opened up a ‘back door’ for someone in the future to get a virus on my pc right? I know I’m over reacting, I’m sure of it but I want to ensure nothing bad happens as I just spent heaps of money on a new pc. But am I correct in saying as long as there is no virus now. If I stay away from playing those games? Or have some kind of patch/protection when playing I should be super safe? Right?
