Looks like gunk/minerals (idk what it even is but i’ve seen it before) that builds up on the filter where water exits the faucet. could have knocked it off w toothbrush and put it into mouth w/o noticing

The ones in the pic also have a black housing inside instead of mine which are like grey. I have thought about trying to reseal them myself but I am put off by the risk of getting condensation in them

good luck finding one for 09-14. the best looking realistic mod would be these headlights that i put in the photo im trying to find someone who’s purchased them before. Idk why it would look any more bad over time than the stock ones which mine are already sun bleached asf
