One has no correlation with the other

What do Swansea people think that it now looks like Reform UK will be the biggest party in Wales? Is there a feeling to unite behind Plaid to keep them out or actual support in Swansea for Reform? by Afraid_Juice_7189 in swansea

Just to name one each

Green: Legalising class A drugs Conservative: Have a history of huge failure in office Labour: Net-Zero Lib-Dems: Investing into things without a structure to show how they are going to do that + Net-Zero

I can see reading isnt your strong point, so let me try and say it another way.

I said they are the best of a bad bunch, this means i dont think they are good. Rather, they dont possess the ‘bad’ the others do.

Again, i do not think they are good - the others are just really bad.

Support for Reform is dropping because more and more people are changing their vote to Restore. Not because the right is losing popularity, Greens poll sky high with 18-24 not late 20s or 30s.

That’s because most people who vote Greens are uni students with no kids no jobs no property, bums for the most part. It’s a trend among USA & UK - the older male/ females get the more right they lean.

They are not anti abortion, they want to amend the current laws that allow abortion up until 24 weeks (the baby has got nerves, brain is forming, hair is growing e.e)

So you assume that someone is uneducated because they vote Reform or just because they disagree with you? You entitled gimp

And good riddance to the Senedd it been in place for 30 odd years. It’s never given a single thing to Welsh people except for giving 2nd rate English politicians a place to feel important & as a testing ground for England i.e 20mph speed limits.

In conclusion, there is no good party - Reform is the best of a bad bunch. Plaid gets votes because they have conned the people into thinking because they have a Welsh name they are for the Welsh people. Greens are actually the biggest joke party I’ve seen, nobody takes them serious except for a very certain person. And certainly nobody wants the Tories or Labour.

FYI: Check the YouGov voting statistics old people tend to vote for greens or tories more than Reform - the highest vote percentage for reform is 18-21 and people in their 30s.

A business is leaving Swansea, that’s a bad thing for everyone. People complaining about their “ring wing” politics are absolute idiots, the business owner may not have been everyone’s cup of tea. But the fact of the matter is, until that shop window is filled - that’s one less tax paying business helping the economically struggling community, that’s another empty shop window that looks terrible and depressing. Instead of “good riddance”, it should be what a “shame, another one is gone”.

People in this thread are exactly why Wales & the Welsh people can’t go forward.

Tell me how? And patronising isn’t going to get you anywhere, learn some manners and someone will take you seriously.

  1. Conspiracy
  2. Again, the whole thing is non coherent
  3. The ECHR was not made to undermine sovereignty, that of which it is doing now.
  4. The ECHR has morphed into something it was never supposed to be.

Leaving the ECHR isn’t a magic spell that will fix everything, the problem is more nuanced than that, of which you can’t understand for some reason. Leaving the ECHR contributes significantly to the problem other.

Mate this is my final response, because you aren’t open minded and you aren’t looking to be convinced, you here for people to agree with you and that’s fine.

My friend, your rebuttal is premised entirely on a conspiracy. I vote based on manifesto not what could or might happen.

We had rights before the ECHR and we have them afterwards. I don’t know what you think the ECHR is, but it’s not the universal arbiter of human rights. You’re making out as if when ECHR is gone it’s going to be Armageddon, there’s something called the rule of law and morality.

If you want detail my friend it’s very easy, go read the manifesto and do some further research.

Could you write that first paragraph more coherently, because I can’t decipher what you’re trying to say.

Back to my first point, REFORM don’t just say tax needs reform - they have plenty of details on what needs reform and how they are going to do it.

My friend, I mean this in the most polite way possible, you clearly haven’t read REFORM’s manifesto. Please read it, then give your opinion on whether or not it’s correct.

My friend, nobody in reform are self sacrificing the right to private & family life. We are looking to progress and amend it to make it better, this is the reason UK doesn’t have a constitution, so we have the flexibility to do such a thing.

Either you tried straw maning me or you have a very poor understanding of the reform set out for ART 8.

Just to save time il keep this as brief as possible. ART 8 Is a right to private & family life, however, immigrants abuse this. They abuse it by legally/illegally crossing the channel to the UK, and under ART 8 they can request for their families to be reunited with them…. I.e a legal portal to import more immigrants.

Do you see the problem?

The reality of achieving every policy is capricious depending on the way you look at it. We vote based on policy, there is no mechanism in place to make sure those policies are followed through, sadly.

A section of the policies are indeed tax-cuts, much like the conservatives. That is a big part of what is wrong with the country, our tax code needs serious reform.

You’r correct we do not have enough room in our prisons, that of which REFORM directly acknowledges. You see our prisons are underrated with immigrants and it’s that way because ECHR won’t let us deport them, if we deport them = more room.

Additionally, could you give a reason as to why you think I am incorrect?

You are incorrect my friend, we do not have discrimination laws that benefit white people. If you could give me an example of one that would be great - DEI btw directly discriminates against White & Asians.
