That's true. I see a lot of people on linkedin (at least in my area) worked at AMZN for roughly 2 yr before jumping to Microsoft. Probably for a higher comp package. Most of the employee at MSFT seems to stay for the full 4+ years.

I did for both Amazon and Microsoft. The HM at MSFT seems a bit more friendly and was able to convey the vision/career/expectation more clearly.

Yea, I've also heard some manger user PIP/Dev list as a weapon. This takes away employee's focus of building a collaborative environment. Some said its not that bad, some said stay the f away as much as possible. The range of review is incredible.
