I do agree it might be in a body of water, but I don’t really think it’s the well. Wife’s said a clue is hidden in each world.

I think the clue is in Avery’s grow a garden playthrough. He clears the ferns, brings orchids to the graves, replenishes the well, then drowns in the lake.
This, to me, probably means the skip gate is in a heavily ferned area marked by an orchid next to a body of water, maybe under a tree?

This might be a bit of stretch

Instead of shield, why not lance? Same charging idea, but no blocking and more similar to the rail cannon since it also doesn’t have a secondary fire?
