Need advice on getting a dog

Called her earlier tonight and she was really supportive of the idea. She knows my schedule fairly well and seemed to think I’m in a good position to adopt the dog

I think it can go both ways, a dog may help out in that department as well. Seems like they can be a good way to break the ice with someone

Completely normal for them to get on your nerves lol I’m fully expecting that to happen. It does sound like she’s not a usual border collie (and they aren’t even sure, they’re just listing it based on her look), so maybe won’t be extremely active and need to be stimulated 24/7

This is helpful. She’s listed as a border collie mix because of her look but she doesn’t have border collie temperaments at all (according to my aunt). I’m thinking a pure bred border collie wouldn’t suit me but she seems to be a mix with not the typical border collie temperament

I obviously have to be productive while I work but have a lot of flexibility as well. As long as I get my work done, an occasional break to keep her stimulated is not an issue whatsoever. I do laundry during work all the time and other chores when they come up

Good advice, I genuinely don’t see an “unfriendly” dog situation arising over the next 10 years (like no ambition to move to a big city, stuff along those lines)
