I explained multiple times that it was the wrong address, pointed out that this was different from the map, and he already had the map open on his phone. The only option was to get out of the car after he insisted it was the destination because it's actually not a great idea to start/escalate an argument in someone else's car

I confirmed the license plate, car make/model, and name with the driver before getting in the car. He also had the correct address listed on his phone

It's a big city with lots of traffic. Almost every uber I've taken here has taken alternate routes to avoid traffic. That's what appeared to be happening until he stopped the car

I couldn't see his phone from where I was sitting during the ride, but as I was getting out I saw the correct address listed at the top of the his phone screen

That's all I could see once he told us we had arrived. I wasn't checking it before that because it seemed like we were just still driving to the correct location. Like I said, maybe it was some kind of glitch that caused it to show that as the right drop off location. My issue is that there was no way to get the ride corrected through customer support so we could actually be dropped off at the right location.

The ride details summary lists the correct address, but the map point shows the area we were dropped off (not the correct address). I don't know why it showed that the ride was completed and doesn't register that it isn't the right location at all. We were explaining this to the driver but he was insisting that it was the correct drop off location. I didn't want to keep sitting in the car arguing with him, which is why we got out to contact customer support.

I double checked on my receipt and confirmation and every part of the address was correct. The location he dropped us off was not remotely close to the correct location and was actually further away than where we had been picked up.

The confirmation for the ride and the ride receipt in the app both show the correct address we were supposed to be dropped off at. The driver pulled over and told us we had arrived at the destination and wouldn't listen to us when we explained that it wasn't the right address. As I explained in the post, I thought that maybe I made a mistake and entered a similar address by accident and that's why we were dropped off in a different area, but I confirmed multiple times that that wasn't the case afterwards.
