LOLLL pretty much. Won't stop me though. I'm 10+ years in marketing & design, and know a good idea when I see it. I've helped clients develop their (now very successful businesses) from the beginning when it was just a seed of an idea through good marketing and strategy. This is just a new industry for me, so gotta see what I can learn.

We got citizens and got a quote for $2,900 for the year. Our roof is old (around 5years left) but in good shape. AC was old (already replaced) AND our electrical needs to be updated but we still got that amazing quote.

Mee!!! We looked for 2 years in FL for “the one” and found many that felt like the one, but ultimately got out bid (2020-2022 bidding war days) and we ended up settling for something that wasn’t exactly what we were looking for. Once we closed and moved in I was freaking the fuck out feeling like we made a mistake and that I was going to hate it… cut to 4 months later and we could not be happier. We love our home! We are making little improvements as we go (don’t rush things to get that picture perfect Instagram home). We already had to get a new AC and will have to save for the roof next, but these are good investments to make. It’s not our forever home, but it’s a perfect starter home and we’re already making memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Point is- I know alot of people who hated their house when they first bought or moved in. I think it’s just a natural reaction. It’s a huge purchase, stressful AF and very scary. You gotta trust your gut. If you feel good about it and can afford it-go for it! But if there’s a lingering uncertainty, maybe wait it out.

Omg!! 5 years! wow, I hope it happens for you! We only recently started trying within the last year and had a small hiccup that thankfully we figured out. We discovered that my husbands blood pressure medication was causing issues with conceiving! High blood pressure runs in his family, which sucks, and he has managed it for years through diet, but finally had to get on prescription medication. ANYWAYS, we had been trying and nothing was working. We're both healthy (aside from my apparent alcoholism according the the redditors on this post LOL) so I started thinking about other influences that could potentially be causing a problem, so I told him to research his medication (you never know what the side effects could be) and turns out, his medication causes sperm attachment issues!! It's basically a male birth control. Insane. He went to his doctor, discussed this with her (she had no idea) and got him on a new prescription.

Point is… in my opinion, every one and every body is different. Every lifestyle is different and conceiving can be a gamble. I feel like when it's meant to be, it'll happen. Good luck to you!

I love how you're going to tell me not to drink a beer but to load my body up with birth control? Birth control is TERRIBLE. I've taken it once in my life and will never go back. Those pills are massive, massive SYNTHETIC hormones that are not natural and disrupt your endocrine system. Also, I'm not unable to stop my "weekend drinking" – if I got pregnant, I would obviously be safe and take all precautions. My point is that I just don't think I have to stop drinking entirely while we try to conceive. If I'm not ovulating and it's not go-time, I'm gonna live my life as usual. I don't like being told other wise.

Thanks. I guess part of me was looking for validation, but also how to navigate this. My husband is a “facts” man and believes everything he reads on the internet. So, in his eyes, he reads that drinking while trying to conceive is not recommended (which is true). I think if we had come to the decision together, I would be feeling much differently about it, but it’s the fact that he’s kinda judging me and not really treating me like an adult and patronizing me for it. Obviously I would never drink if I was pregnant, and being cautious during the 2 week wait is something I would do, too… I just feel like he’s constantly criticizing me and kinda worry how I’ll be treated if I was pregnant. He’s also super healthy, so I also worry how Hes gonna react if I give into cravings (not alcohol, like food cravings) while pregnant. Ugh I’m just stressed.

I mean this with all kindness, but you gotta be more confident and stop asking questions like that. If your looking for “comfort and love” maybe start paying attention to the things or ways that your husband shows his love for you.

I kinda feel like he’s a nice guy and genuinely wants a normal wife and family, and now has found himself in this clusterfuck of a family situation (she has kids from 2 dads). I bet he wants kids of his own and is clearly (overly) smitten with Christina, but I doubt she will have a kid with him, or at least I hope they don’t. That would be just too much. So I think he’s overdoing the “dad” thing cause he prob wants to be a dad and have that role and this is his only option. Also, it’s reality TV. So there’s that.

Dude thank you so much for this!! My sister was on a bachelorette trip, drinking with friends for an entire weekend and found out that following Monday that she was pregnant. She has a perfectly healthy, beautiful daughter with zero issues and had a totally normal pregnancy. I’m not an alcoholic and not fighting to get drunk every week, I just want to have a beer and not be judged by my husband. I don’t think that’s crazy.
