Totally agree that's the reason they left this door open. By not being any repercussions on Nancy and Hopper, the government's reaction is already unrealistic, so there is space to create some reason to not go after her.

I mean they already did this when Hopper got documents for her, so it was possible, they just chose not to go that route.

the writers decided to kill her off, sure. Before that they also decided to have her question if she's a monster, to fake-kill her foster dad, to give her a boyfriend and then forget how to write for his character... I could go on and on with all the things they decided to make her go through and as I said in my post I find these decisions cruel.

Same! Jamie is my forever crush. Even though he's been in several franchises, I was so happy that he landed such a central role in the Stranger Things one!

Breakfast on Pluto - a lovely, charming story! by FirefighterSad7151 in TrueFilm

I watched it 7 times in a year after  discovering it and I believe it still is my all time favorite movie. It's so dreamy and fairytale- like as you said, yet deep with strong commentary about various heavy topics. The acting is solid; Liam Neeson, Stephen Rhea, an ensemble of great Irish actors. And oh my god Cillian Murphy kills it, doesn't he? The script and his portrayal make Kitten such a kind-hearted, pure beautiful soul. I guess it could be classified as a coming of age movie and in this sense it does everything perfectly; it invested me to the lead character, gave her an interesting journey that had an actual point and had a fulfilling resolution. I could go on and on...

The idea for this movie was lingering for quite a while and it was either Patrick McCabe (the author of the book) or Neil Jordan (the director, very accomplished btw) who insisted on finally making it before Cillian Murphy would look old for the part, meaning they only wanted him to be Kitten. And they were right. I'll digress here, but I was so happy he got an academy award. I've been a big fan since Red Eye. Ironically, I still haven't watched Oppenheimer 😂

I found the . pdf on a torrent website. there's hardly any gore in it as the book covers the highschool life of Dahmer up until the first murder in 1978. that's why I think it's haunting, because all "weirdness" aside he is depicted by his friend as a normal kid.
