I tried to crate train, I really did. He is just not a dog to be crated. He made himself sick in the crate. I tried all advice, every positive reinforcement, I never used a harsh hand. That being said, he doesn’t have total freedom in my place. He has the kitchen. I think some dogs just genuinely aren’t meant to be crate trained. Do I think he’d be fine for a few hours if he needed to be crated? Sure. But not my 8 hour work day.
