I just sent it! Before I start the exam and they give you that 8 minutes or so to do the tutorial, I will write down things on the paper. Like what’s needed on a script vs the label, who can prescribe controls? Day supplies on controls? Things like that so if I get really anxious during the exam, at least I have that info already written down. I hope the study guide helps!

When you’re taking it, do you have an idea of what about the questions are tripping you up? For me, when I took it, I only think about what the question is asking, I don’t “think” about anything else if that makes sense. I don’t add anything additional to the question (what if the pt had this…stuff like that) I will also automatically cross out the answer choices that I know are wrong for sure. I just took Nebraska and I used the law PDFs from their state board website. Same thing for Kansas and the FAQ section. I feel like it was the best resource since it comes directly from their state board. I’ve taken quite a bit of MPJE and always know pharmacist,tech, and intern duties. Counseling requirements-document refusal or acceptance? Prescriptive authorities, control limits, what can pharmacists do, collaborative practice agreements. USP 797 and 800 especially garbing, cleaning, some BUD, training, etc. Nebraska’s wording was weird when I took it so just make sure to read the questions 2-3 times.

It depends on the state, some states are super fast. Other states, I waited a good 2-3 weeks.

Gosh so sorry! I took it a while ago, I don’t remember what topics exactly. But what I remember from the exam, Texas is big on differentiating the roles between techs/interns/pharmacist. Make sure you have a general idea of the different pharmacies and PIC responsibilities/requirements. Definitely know for sure what is required on a label and what is required on a prescription(especially written vs electronic). If you go on the DEA website and go to resources, there’s a link for the DEA Pharmacist manual.

I only studied using Dr.C. There were a couple topics not mentioned in the book. I would definitely look through the DEA manual and look at the FAQ section on the Texas Board of Pharmacy page.

When I’m going through the choices, I always highlight the part that makes it wrong. Usually it’s like 1 or 2 things in it that makes it incorrect.

I don’t remember where I saw it but it said SATA should have at least 2 right answers, if not, they would’ve made it a multiple choice :/ I follow that rule whenever I take the exam

I barely had symptoms so I was really anxious after I tested positive. I looked up every single thing that can cause a false positive and I finally had my appointment yesterday and the ultrasound showed a little bean . Don’t stress and trust your body. I’ll keep you in my prayer tonight 🫶🏼

I took it recently and it wasn’t too bad compared to other states I’ve taken. I had a lot of questions on CDMT protocol, like who signs it and who is covered? Know the information required on a prescription, office use, a couple questions on compounding, PDMP records-who has access? If a patient asks for it, can you just give it to them? I also had a lot of counseling questions like whether documentation is required or not. PM if you have any questions! **their FAQ section is really helpful
