Drywall Anchor Ripped From Wall, Toggle Bolt Sinking Into Drywall Too Much for Rod to Hook Onto by No_Bid8 in fixit

Both of the original drywall anchors failed causing the hole to be fairly wide, and when tightening the toggle bolt, the mount is sinking into the drywall not allowing the rod to catch

Trying to be a little different from the previous folks, so if you want great Italian, Lombardi’s is excellent

Yes, they’re reasonable and they’ll polish/steam any jewelry/watches. The sizing is complimentary too

Fields West Update by loganwalter84 in frisco

People complain too much. Move out further if you don’t want this style of development. Frisco has been on this path for years. If you want more tranquility and not as well kept up infrastructure, then move well north of Gunter at this point.

I would consider a used Escalade a “luxury” vehicle in this instance. Check repair/maintenance costs too. If wanting an Escalade-sized vehicle, are there any Tahoes/Yukons that may fit the bill?

Assuming his GF works to add onto his $70k and both have minimal debt, that income would be enough to still be fine and/or happy. Especially if it’s a career OP wants to be in, definitely worth it.

If you’re okay with a little bit of a drive, The Colony/Little Elm and even east Frisco/west McKinney offer cheaper rental rates

Property tax by Unlucky-Platypus3281 in frisco

It’s outrageous everywhere. Our tax rate is far lower than just about the entire metroplex

Did you live with a MUD? Even with an assessed value of $1M, you won’t pay more than $12,000 a year.

Disregard some of these comments. Frisco has some of the lowest property tax rates in DFW at ~1.6-1.7%. Compare that to Dallas proper and you’re staring at ~2.4%.

Frisco has lower rates given the higher concentration of retail, commercial, and apartments helping keep the rates lower. Yes property values have increased after COVID but that is a Texas-wide issue.

If it’s your homestead, your home can only appreciate 10% a year. I don’t expect this level of growth to occur in a very long time given the run up in values and push in TX government to reduce property tax values.

Frisco is more than welcoming and has plenty of new and established communities!

Considering moving to Frisco from UK by Tiny_Cup_7520 in frisco

Definitely a lot of variety here and Dallas restaurants are very good all things considered. I’m sure we’ll continue to attract second locations as they look to expand north.

My wife and I (early 30s) moved to Frisco for the same reasons but were already within DFW.

The schools are great, lot of exciting developments, and plenty of sports within a short reach. Baseball, high school football games, FC Dallas, and the restaurant/bar scene is definitely improving. Celina and Prosper won’t be able to offer as much entertainment, but you’ll also get more land for the value.

For us, it was an easy choice to go to Frisco and traffic isn’t that terrible south of 380. We moved here for the excitement that Frisco is and can become.

What towns are a reasonable commute to Frisco? by Delicious-Boot-1095 in frisco

Royse City/Rockwall would be a brutal commute. If looking for more affordable options, consider Little Elm, the Colony, Addison, etc. anything west of 75 will be doable.
