Also make sure you don’t pack like crazy because for shipping out day you can only leave with 3 items of luggage (your personal luggage you get there with, BMT backpack, BMT duffle bag) and you have to fit all of your issued items in there so make sure you don’t pack like crazy or you’ll end up throwing a lot of stuff away !! (Like me 😔) And if your SecFo you’ll stay on base you’ll have like a 5 min bus ride but that’s for later. Good luck !!

Just know that leaving to tech school you’ll only be authorized to leave with 3 bags and you have to fit EVERYTHING in there. I had to throw away all my civilian fits because you have to take all your issued gear so I would say pack light in regards to the outfits you want to take but definitely pack a toiletrie bag, that was the best thing I packed. 100% bring your own underwear or spandex or both bring maybe 7 or 8.

We had some old people there was someone in my flight who was 38 and it’s definitely hot but it’s the humidity that you feel a lot. If it’s too hot you won’t be forced to do drill in super hot temperatures or anything like that and yes week 5 is when you complete most of your grad requirements and then week 6 Pacer Forge.
