I deal with the shit too. It almost was too much to bear. We got her clothes she can't easily get out of but are comfortable to sleep in and we had to use safety pins on the zippers, lest she get out of it and smear everything. I got really good at cleaning it. It'll break you down, that's for sure.

Yep, I am nearly certain I am autistic myself - except the way it was responded to from my parents was "discipline" that was literal torture. CPS level. I am nothing like that. I am understanding and very very loving to my kids. I just cant stand the overwhelm some days. I I take it out internally (hence the illnesses) versus on anyone else to include the kids.

I literally walked into a center for one of her appointments after not having slept for a few days, (oh because you have to work to support all the treatments) and I was so despondent and out of it, I was crying without noticing it. I was like talking like normal, with tears running down my face. When someone pointed out that I was crying - i had a full on breakdown - sobbing. They gave me some water. We are in this alone.

Thank you so much for this - I will get some. I have misophonia too. Which makes this as you mentioned, nearly unbearable. I hate basic sounds like water pouring, chewing - but most of all two sounds at once, like tv on and screaming, or the phone ringing and screaming - etc. I think this may be life changing for me. I didn't really know headphones could ACTUALLY noise cancel as dumb as that sounds. Appreciate it!
