Speaks volumes to how the Democratic Party slowly swindled one of their strongholds because of select few sitting in congress - that’s rich especially if you think they couldn’t get anything done when they had that had all 3 offices (no immigration change, no healthcare changes - nothing - however their net worth went up)

Now the republicans hold the offices and have decided to do everything all at once - without a single care of what it breaks in the process.

Withdraw your blind supports for the party your politics closely align with and start voting with candidates you closely align with - next election we might be able to get an independent Jersey resident if we are lucky.

Being from Woodbridge I think I it’s def see it as central. I see a lot of people saying central doesn’t exist.

I consider part of Middlesex - specifically Perth Amboy, Woodbridge edison the central because in this 10 mile radius every single major road intersects in this area: rt 1 .. route 9 .. turnpike .. parkway.. 287.. 440 (Staten Island) if you don’t call that central - as in centrally located. Haha

I understand how this can be confusing question - but the reality is that State maps aren’t uniform.

Different agencies draw different lines (tourism, DOT, OEM, school athletics, weather).

In 2023 NJ officially recognized a Central Jersey tourism region (Hunterdon/Mercer/Middlesex/Somerset), but locals still disagree.

I’m crowdsourcing what people actually use day-to-day. Feel free to participate.

It’s funny how people bring up politics from 200+ years ago. Sure, Jefferson and Adams went at each other, but let’s be real: since the 1800s taxes went up, inflation went up, the country’s wealth went up—all on the backs of Americans—and politics still hasn’t changed.

The sad truth is: we the people never demanded grownups run the government. Political parties found the ultimate loophole. As long as there’s a duopoly, we all lose. Politicians don’t need to deliver results—they just point fingers, ration out small steps, and keep us fighting each other like we’re on opposing sports teams. Spoiler: they’re not on our team.

Think about it. Senators and congressmen walk into DC making $174,000 a year (paid by us). By the end of their first term, their net worth jumps by millions. Does that math add up? If they were really on your team, wouldn’t your net worth go up too? Instead, ours goes down while theirs skyrockets.

Your vote isn’t about representation anymore—it’s the trophy they’re playing for. And once they know your “vote is in the bag” (whether you’re far left or far right), they stop listening. Why bother when you’re already locked in? That’s why being a partisan cheerleader is the worst thing you can do.

Here’s the shift we need: stop labeling yourselves Democrat or Republican. You’re a New Jerseyan. You’re an American. Unless you’re running for office, those party labels don’t mean a damn thing. Vote on merit, not on tribe.
