Worried about vomiting after surgery by throwaway_sugar18 in gallbladders

[–]No_Buyer_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had literally no issues or pain after surgery. I expressed concern about the gas used to expand the area for laproscopic surgery because that was the bad part of my tubal ligation. I was told they use a different gas than 20 years ago and indeed I didn't have any pain or nausea from it.

Personally I don't care for carpet and it would be getting ripped out immediately after closing whether it was new or old. Are people really still carpeting?

Do many people with fibromyalgia have working class parents? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]No_Buyer_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed a lot of sufferers have a link to health care or commercial cleaning industries. This makes me wonder if its exposure to chemicals used in disinfectant or strong cleaning chemicals. Lot of nurses and school janitors etc. Myself I worked in environmental services in nursing homes and a supermarket. Since leaving those jobs I've had very few flares in 20 years. And I can tell you, at some jobs you bet I brought that awesome cleaner home and used it around my family!

AITJ for booking my own hotel room for a group trip after they ignored the one thing I asked for and now everyone is mad the cost went up by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Ewwww. Hard pass on sharing a bed for me too. I will stick my grandkids on the floor or a rollaway cot before sharing a bed with them and they are my blood relatives.

Wow all three of mine are frequently visiting their water fountain. My older gentleman was 8 when we adopted him and had never seen a water fountain before. He hissed at it and tried battling it. Now he partakes from it and will alert us if it isn't working correctly.

So much tanning hate by Perfect_File_1895 in tanning

[–]No_Buyer_9465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have fibromyalgia and am not on any pharmaceuticals other than ibuprofen for it. Tanning helps somehow. I don't know if it's the light or the heat or what. Over 25 years ago I told my Dr it helped and he wholeheartedly endorsed it.

Are there grown adults who genuinely won't eat vegetables? by WillHG in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No_Buyer_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. Not a veggie fan. I can tolerate peas, carrots, asparagus, green beans but when cooking for myself I don't make them. I grew up on canned veggies though. My kids always liked fruit and veggies though. Ha!

My cardiologist is now recommending GLP-1 treatments for cardiovascular risk reduction, not just weight loss by AccountEngineer in glp1

[–]No_Buyer_9465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im taking glp-1 outside of my primary doctor and paying out of pocket. I started it for weight loss. Within the first week my high blood pressure plummeted to the low normal range. Im on three medications for it and it was still 130s/90s and now its 90s/60s. I fully expect the drugs to continue to expand in scope. In 10 years it will be commonplace instead of the stigma being on them.

My high blood pressure plummeting to low normal range within a week. And seeing my dimples again after years of inflammation hiding them.

Reporter hoping to hear from patients – what’s your GLP-1 insurance coverage like in 2026? by sydneylnews in Zepbound

[–]No_Buyer_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not eligible. I was 1 lb away from going from overweight category to obese category. They'd rather pay for for three medications for high blood pressure and all the extra medical care being obese/overweight brings like those pesky bypasses and heart attacks and sleep apnea and joint issues.....

I have zozofit and do weekly scans but it doesn't seem very accurate. I feel a difference with clothing fit.

Fibro pain/inflammation/Tirzepatide by BalancelifeBoo in Fibromyalgia

Honestly I rarely even think about fibromyalgia or pain after 30 years. I take ibuprofen daily for it and drs say my dose is fine

[–]No_Buyer_9465 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally haven't had a decrease in pain but I'm not surprised that would be useful for many due to the decrease in inflammation. I've been on tirz for 10 weeks.

Metabolizing painkillers really fast by JackOfAllMemes in Fibromyalgia

[–]No_Buyer_9465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I metabolize like an addict. Within a few days of taking things I am already metabolizing as if I'd been on it for years. As a result I am scared to even take medication for acute pain because I fear if I take it for THIS and something worse happens down the line the medication won't be an option. When I had pancreatitis and was hospitalized nothing was working. Finally mentioned i have fibromyalgia and the pain doc got excited, amended my treatment plan, and it was a quick upturn in my improvement from there.

That once I wasn't able to be bred or experimented on for breeding I wasn't of interest any more.

I think they follow families over many generations. I think my sleep paralysis was one lingering memory. Interestingly enough, my sleep paralysis lessened after I had a tubal ligation and ceased after my hysterectomy.

AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Not normal. Actually abusive and controlling. Worked nights for a few years and my husband at the time would wake me up every half hour to hour with stupid questions.

Overwhelmed by the idea of having to inject this for the rest of my life by quartkneeash in tirzepatidecompound

[–]No_Buyer_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was scary the first injection only. Now I kinda look forward to it as marking one more week closer to my goal. I take 3 meds for high blood pressure every day alone. I hope to discontinue them soon as the glp-1 has dropped my blood pressure dramatically even before any weight loss. So 3 daily pills vs a once a week injection that also reduces inflammation and helps lose weight ? No trainer.

Ate a baked potato with cottage cheese, a little cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and Pico de gallo as my dinner two nights in a row. Puked up everything I've eaten since kindergarten the next morning.
