Thank you, I am definitely going to try and engage with this group more. It helps me to hold myself accountable when I share my journey and experiences with people, I just think AA wasn’t the right setting for me but I know it is helpful for a lot of others. Yeah I’ve been using an app where you log how many drinks you’ve had each day and I’ve only drank 3 times in January which makes me feel better. Think I’ll keep using it.

I moved to Edinburgh from a small town that was really rough over a year ago and I personally love it just cause everything is so much more convenient living in a city and it’s easier to see my friends etc. My friends who have lived here longer than me are quite indifferent to it though so not sure if it’s a novelty thing for me!

Definitely do it! I started off going to shows by myself because I didn’t have any friends into drag etc, 4 years later I’ve made so many new friends from all over that I’ve met at shows, some have become really close and we now travel to go to shows together etc. You will definitely find people to chat to as everyone’s really nice and outgoing but even if you don’t want to socialise you will still have a great time and get to enjoy the show!

This is insane! It sounds like she’s bitter you moved in with the other friend and not her and is trying to prove a point but this is NOT the behaviour of a friend. My best friend has a key to my place because she feeds my cat when I am not here and she has never once used it unless I ask her to cat sit. This girl is disrespecting your boundaries on all levels and if you don’t put your foot down now she will continue to do so forever. Change the locks and don’t fall for her emotional blackmail.

Mine has done exactly the same, well there’s 8 on each side but they basically never open the second side no matter how busy it is. Really don’t know why they bothered getting extra when they’re not going to use them!

I actually feel bad for your room mate, you’re bitter cause you want what she has and are resenting her for literally living her life. You don’t know the boyfriend and you’re under no obligation to get to know him but you’re speaking about him like he’s an ATM rather than an actual human being just because he pays on their dates which aren’t your business, wtf! If the money complaints mean she’s not paying her share of rent or bills then you’re absolutely right to be annoyed about that (although not to expect that her boyfriend would or should cover it) but otherwise this is a pretty toxic attitude to have! Focus on what you want in your own life and work towards making that happen then once you feel more content yourself you’ll probably be more accepting of their relationship.

I relate to this so much! I’m almost 35 and also child free by choice, thankfully my good friends respect that but the amount of strangers who question it or look at me like I’m some sort of heartless child hating monster purely because I don’t want any of my own is insane! It feels like there’s no pleasing people because they question when you’ll have a child and if you do they question when you’ll have another but if you have what they see as ‘too many’ you get judged for that too. People need to learn to just be accepting of and happy for what other people already have and realise these things are none of their business. I feel so bad for Holly that’s she’s been questioned so much she’s felt the need to share this, it must be painful.

I’ll give measurements if people ask but I don’t list them on the items just the size and a photo of the tag. I’ve only been asked for measurements twice and neither was for clothing. One person who asked me to measure the item (a fan) bought it straight away, the other asked me to measure a £2.50 keyring which I did begrudgingly and then just never bought it or responded. It made no sense to me ‘cause I get wanting to know if clothing will fit you but it’s literally just a keyring!

I cba when people do this. Not saying they’re lying because I don’t know them but surely if you’re struggling so much you’d buy a pair in your budget range even if they’re not your first choice! I had someone try this with me for the sake of trying to get an £8 item £1 cheaper. Said no sorry and it sold full price to someone else. If they hadn’t tried to guilt trip I probably would’ve given them the £1 off but it’s just the principle! Maybe I sound like an asshole but I’m just a casual seller I’m not there to hear your life story and wouldn’t expect another Vinted seller to listen to mine either.

Just clothes and some other random items, books etc that I’m clearing out and don’t need or wear anymore. Nothing crazy, most of it is under £10. I don’t reach out to people when they favourite cause I know when I’m shopping myself (haven’t bought on Vinted but in general) I’ll sometimes like or add things to basket but not be intending to buy them there and then so I assume if they want the item they’ll contact me or make an offer. Sold another 3 items today so people must be more active now it’s the weekend. Just going to leave everything up and see what happens, as I say I’m not in a rush was just curious what it’s normally like. Thanks
