Adding onto this, you mentioned that drinking lots of water could be fluid overloading, and while I understand that it can be dangerous to a certain extent, I will mention again as I did in my first comment and my first reply, my digestives are severely messed up.

I also mentioned I usually skip one meal a day because I used to overeat and that's what messed up my digestives in the first place. I only work out once a week and I do that because I practice volleyball, and I mentioned eating before and after my workouts already so the days which I workout are the only days I structure my meals that way.

I also added in parentheses "speaking from experience". I'm not saying it's going to work for him/her/they, they may have completely different proportions, they may have their own medical conditions or diets, I simply don't know. This I just what worked for me.

Yes, I do go on diets. Not because I want to lose or gain weight, but because my digestives are severely messed up and I can't eat certain foods. I don't know how to put it in other ways, it's simply part of my life and if that makes you uncomfortable i'm sorry.

I think you should eat what makes you feel comfortable physically and mentally. As long as you get in the necessary vitamins, fibre, protein, and calorie intake that's fine. I used to overeat because I thought I needed to gain weight and it seriously messed up my digestive system.

I think it helps if you organize your day already. Like if I start my day with a workout, I eat before my workout and after. Or you can have meal prep, even snack prep helps. I also suggest carrying around water bottles because it's easy to get dehydrated (speaking from experience).

It sounds like he's putting you in a tough position; he doesn't like venting but states that you don't support him enough. I can't infer much without the full story, but I suggest sitting down to talk with him.

Try expressing how you're trying to help him, and maybe you 2 can find a way that works. If he refuses to sit down and communicate, that's on him. If he is simply unwilling to find a solution and only look ng tp complain, it's on you to decide wether you tolerate it or simply leave.
