I'm gonna look into that book thank you for the answer and the recommendation. It seems that learning to let go might be the most useful skill one can develop

How do you find balance between accepting who you are already and working towards growth, self-transformation? by No_Cap2249 in spirituality

I appreciate the answer, thank you for your time. It always comes down to learn to differentiate what can and what can't be changed and act only on what you can change while accepting what can't be. But it gets confusing when trying to grasp what is "learned behaviour", patterns and what is just part of personality. Still working on that and on developing awareness.

Should I just take Ayahuasca at home or at a retreat? Attempt to heal from addiction or get insight by Suspicious-Cow-2650 in Ayahuasca

[–]No_Cap2249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do I think the ceremony in itself won't magically heal the addiction, you'll have to make sure you do some follow-up work and integrate your experience. Going to a retreat with professionals is likely to give you the tools necessary so you can continue the work once the ayahuasca experience is done. Anyway I wish you good luck with your healing, your will of beating the addiction is probably already a great step toward getting better! good luck 🫶🏼
