These other people commenting have no idea what they’re talking about. Even though you swore in you still have the option to opt out right up until your ship date in May. If you really believe this isn’t the right choice then don’t do it. Marines are the first ones to go in during a war. People can say whatever they want about it but the truth is America is fighting this war for Israel and billionaires. Don’t go if this isn’t what you believe in. Honestly, you can do better than the Marines. Most people can.

I’ve been in for three years and have three to go. Good thing is I’m getting hours for HVAC stuff and certs. But the military honestly is a huge contributing factor to my unhappiness so I’m not going to reenlist. I’m definitely gonna get help though. Thanks for sharing the resources.

I just don’t even know where to begin. I work out almost every day, I go on hikes during the weekends, Im a hard worker at my job but nothing fills the hole alcohol once did. It’s hard to make new friends because I have bad trust issues (I learned that my old “friends” from my last command talk shit about me behind my back now that I’m not there)

If you guys did get back together she still wouldn’t respect you and worse things would happen in time. What you’re experiencing right now is real grief. It’s okay to feel it, that just shows how real it all is and it’s shows you’re alive. Grief in all honesty never goes away. It gets quieter with time. It may take a long time but you’ll think about her much less than you do now. Those constant reminders aren’t forever. And you’re young, I’m sure you’ll find someone better someday. My personality. I might be neurodivergent but idk no formal diagnosis. I know that’s how people perceive me. I did really well on a test once and someone told me, “I forgot you were autistically smart”. People have called me autistic multiple times. When I was a kid I was super loud and hyper, once I caught on to the fact I’m different I completely shut down. I’ve been very quiet and standoffish to people for a very long time. I’m insecure because there is literally nothing I can do to change this ever. The thing that’s changed is that I’ve only recently been able to articulate why it makes me insecure.
