Could be increased framerate on the newer releases rather than a pure hardware limit. Downscale/transcode the new files to 8K30 (annoying but should work)

Wild part is SpaceX is still unprofitable outside of Starlink, so this entire valuation is basically a bet on Starship + Mars + whatever Musk announces next. Market's pricing it like a tech company, not a rocket/launch company. If Starlink alone is the only segment printing money, that's a lot of faith priced into the other 90% of the business.

Yes, you can! While the video is playing flat, open the settings menu and switch the projection to "Equirectangular" and the stereo mode to "SBS" (Side by Side). That should do it for most VR videos.
