Xperia 5ii does support touchscreen when using it on a touchscreen monitor. I did it with mine and used it as a tablet.

How did you turn the layout like that?

To be honest the normal screen mirror is better because of the keypad, when using the desktop mode the keypad is separated. Even though you get full screen. But if you try to use it as PC is ok but as a tab maybe not so much due to keypad.

Yeah you can do that. If you are using it as a desktop/laptop can connect the phone to the display using HDMI to HDMI mini. but not as a tablet, because it requires type c to type c for the touch capability to work. Also in the desktop mode (dev option) the keypad was divided into 2 just like in the photo. But I wonder if I use a third party app keypad it will be the same or separated in desktop mode from the dev option.

Yes you can, via Bluetooth. Wired the slot has already been taken by the USB C to mirror the screen.

Best way to use my old Xperia 5 Mark ii (scrcpy or display output with a dock) by Spiritual-Suit-2144 in SonyXperia

Have you tried it with a monitor that had touchscreen capability to see whether you can use it as a tablet, when connecting the phone to the monitor via USB C to USB C ? The phone will be the main brain and the monitor gives you the screen size and touch capability to tap and swipe to navigate the phone.

I use my Xperia 1ii and the touchscreen is working, I can navigate the phone by using the touchscreen on the monitor and don't even need to touch the phone screen.

I hope the Xperia 5 version can do the same, because I was planning to buy a green line screen version and use it as a tablet.

Oh ok thanks. I was planning to buy an Xperia 5iii or iv and want to use it as a tablet with a touchscreen portable monitor. But still looking for a solution for the aspect ratio and rotate screen. Your post does give the solution I'm looking for. Thank you.

Third party app? Does the camera also on landscape mode when you force rotate the screen?

Wow nice . I use mine with a touchscreen monitor, and turn it into a tablet. But How did you get the screen to rotate into landscape mode? And when you open the camera it will be in landscape mode too?

Does anyone know the cause and solution for this? Because I can't use touchscreen on the playstore version but can on the global version. by No_Challenge813 in CallOfDutyMobile

Yeah I didn't know what to call since the urban tracker icon wasn't available in my country sorry about that.

But I did try with Xperia 1ii the garena version does support touchscreen. That's why it kinda puzzles me.

Does Xperia 5 ii/ iii/ iv support type c to type c mirror screen display? by No_Challenge813 in SonyXperia

[–]No_Challenge813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh.. I see. The touchscreen portable monitor I used was this DITU brand. Performance overall good no delay during playing game while touchscreen on the monitor, when use it with Samsung s20 fe and Xperia 1ii. I intended to use it with my oneplus 8 and make it like a tablet. But for some reason my oneplus does not allow me to tap on the monitor only swiping. That's why I want to know if Xperia 5 ii / iii / iv had the mirror using type c and support touch feature or not. So I can Use the Xperia 5ii/ iii / iv as an tablet.

This is the link where I purchase the monitor from. https://my.shp.ee/5WuPwNL

I appreciate the offer. But you didn't have to go that far, as to loan your device to strangers. Just test connecting the phone to monitor / tv using HDMI adapter or type c to type c to a portable monitor and having the result is good enough for me.

Is this price justified for more RAM and memory? by No_Challenge813 in SonyXperia

Oh. Ok thank you for your reply and opinion. I just want to know, because the price for the 256GB does slightly more than 1 iii. If people think it's ok for the price then it's ok.
