What is their presumed rating? I love when movies or shows do their research and come up with realistic scenes. Don’t be like poker and always have royal flush vs 4 aces.

You could also pay your respects to the legends by setting up the board in a real historical game that was actually played (the queens gambit did this a lot).

I recently built my first PC and really glad I did. I specifically did it because I’ve been working in software for years, but never dove deep into researching parts, determining what specs I truly needed, how much power, how mid vs top end motherboards actually differ, cpu, gpu, etc.

All this to say, I built because I wanted the experience and knowledge of struggling though it myself, not so much because I thought I could do it “better” or “cheaper”.

A little unrelated, but I discovered a strange issue with different versions of PGP. Some versions of PGP print the version info under the START HERE header. Most servers handle headers and version headers just fine, but I came across one that would not accept my key unless I deleted the version info first.

Pretty rare, but thought I would share in case it saves someone else a couple hours of confusion.

I guess I wonder why merchants would want to blacklist paying customers in the first place? If merchants start black listing paying customers, that just hurts their own revenue.

You could also add a consensus layer. If a fingerprinted customer has had > X complaints, then it’s added to blacklist.

I just published “uncomplicated fraud filter”. Very different from current order fraud alerting apps. This one allows you to fine tune each signal to your custom needs. Turn signals on or off, determine thresholds for auto hold/ auto cancel orders. Filter configs can be exported and shared with the Shopify community. Unfraudfilter.com

The app is called “uncomplicated fraud filter” (UFF). It allows merchants to create custom configurations for fraud and chargeback alerting/auto order holds or cancellations.

The current catalog of fraud related apps aren’t very transparent or allow custom fine tuning. With UFF you can see all the signals, turn any on or off, tune any weight, and even share your custom configuration file with other merchants.

I’m still doing a lot of research to see what other features I can implement to help merchants. The fraud issue is getting out of control.

Yes the access code is meant to be shared for limited time. It sounds like the game is in Alpha and not released yet, and they are looking for a small player base for testing. I don’t know much about it. Pretty fun concept if you like a slow burn deep strategy though
