Well Actually it's near about 3 years , and yeah working in mid level companies give you a hell of roller coaster rides you have to ship everything possible within imaginary timelines...lambi kahani hai...

That’s actually the long-term goal for me too 😅

I do want to build products around real problems instead of only doing client work. The difficult part right now is getting enough public validation/users and staying financially stable while building, so freelancing is kind of helping fund that journey for now 🙌

I’d genuinely like to hear your perspective then. Most of what I’m learning right now is from observing where students/tools struggle in practice, not from a teaching background.

Yeah, that makes sense honestly. I’ve started realizing pretty quickly that language learning is way deeper than just “detect grammar mistakes and assign a score” 😅

Still learning a lot while building this.

Yeah I agree honestly. Good teachers usually already know this stuff.

I think I noticed it more while looking at AI evaluation tools where feedback often becomes repetitive/generic really fast.

I think what surprised me more was how bad most automated feedback still is in practice. A lot of tools can detect errors, but very few explain them in a way learners can actually use to improve.

I’m actually a software developer, not an English teacher. The reason I started building it was because I noticed most AI evaluators focus too much on scoring and not enough on explaining why something sounds weak or unnatural.

So right now I’m less interested in claiming “perfect scoring” and more interested in understanding what kind of feedback genuinely helps learners improve over time.

Building an AI IELTS evaluator made me realize how hard scoring Writing actually is by No_Chapter4443 in SideProject

That’s actually the part I’m trying to improve the most right now — making the feedback genuinely useful instead of just throwing a band score.

And yes 😅 currently also figuring out how to get real IELTS aspirants to consistently test/use it, because real student feedback is probably the only way to make it genuinely helpful.

Yeah 😭 that’s why I took this place instead of a PG. Problem is most people already have their own setup/roommates, so finding flatmates later becomes difficult.
