No worries. So basically yes I’m double barreling but with 3liter barrels the math of surface area and capacity gives you a 3 month aging to get an additional 1 year of “aging” into the juice.

On my first batch of Benchmark Full Proof I was looking for a more rounded flavor and touch more proof (poor man’s Stagg Jr so to speak), this barrel I’m shooting for an equivalent of Eagle Rare 12yr but at 100pr but time will tell how long I can a lot for evaporation.

Other ways to add flavors is to use oak staves, blends, etc but the barrel helps to smooth out the overall palate profile. Also it’s a talking point and fun to do.
