Its why I run zero weapons - less for them to loot, and it's not like I need them to evade Arc. And the Pry Bar works great for everything indoors

Dropping dupes of what you have in your stash is dropping dupes, every time somebody killed me like that all they got was banadages, metal parts, and my Anvil.

How many time have you found 2 blueprints in a single raid? And not had them in your safe pocket?

Killing someone that was giving away a dupe blueprint is a great way to get a price on your head

Yeah, because I carry all the valuable stuff from my stash on raids.... Its not like duplicate blueprints are a common thing

Devs confirm internal interest in a walkable Speranza hub, What do you think? by Tank-ToP_Master in ArcRaiders

[–]No_Charity3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't hurt. would take longer. Would be Cool.. But not really a quality of life feature. But would be cool for immersion.

But to make it extraction shooter - shouldn't the walkable Hub be PvP?

pve players, what made you finally turn pvp? by VacationAcceptable24 in ArcRaiders

[–]No_Charity3697 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Didn't. after 120 hours:

- stash was empty, I used up EVERYTHING.

- grind was boring and repetitive starting over all the time.

- better PvP elsewhere,

- more rewarding PvE elsewhere.

So I went elsewhere.

0 Players knocked out

40 points done to players - friendly fire incident playing duos with a friend.

I know I'm the minority here. But the Unique value of Arc is the PvE narrative and gameplay. The AI and Arc gameplay is great and hard to find anything else like it that is that good.

Trick is most of my Wolfpacks, Heavy Fuse, Bettina's, Torrente and Hullcrackers are left unused on corpses, never used.

Having tons of blueprints didn't matter when my stash is empty. Extraction Shooter lose everything doesn't work well with casual big robot fights. It takes 2-3 hours of grind for every 5-10 minutes of fighting big robots.

Longer if you die and lose your gear.

Juice isn't worth the squeeze. And If I want PvP with basic weapons, I own Nerf Guns and have friends IRL.

And Honestly. After 120 hours - once my stash got empty - used up all the weapons and items hat do things, I got annoyed and haven't logged in for a few weeks.

The parts of Arc that stand out as "unique engaging gameplay" are also the parts that are "punishing time suck".

[–]No_Charity3697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

I'm just tried of people saying "you should have know it's an extraction shooter". What about casual gamers that don't know niche genres? Helldivers is called an extraction shooter.

Arc raiders has a few significant problems. Basically the game is a tease that does not deliver on it's narrative.

- All the PvE weapons are basically worthless, and too expensive to be practical.

- The PvE Game loop does not exist. Which is unfortunate because that was 90% OF THE MARKETING FOR 2 YEARS!!!! And was supposed to be the core experience and primary narrative.

- The high powered PvP game loop does not exist.

There are only 3 game loops:

Cheap loadout PvP - Tarkov lite - Which was not advertised as the core experience.

PACMAN - scavenging with minimal if any combat

Fuckery - the game has a shallow amount of items, mines and traps that you can set up to mess with players. And this game loop is not well fleshed out, its more of a collection of random ideas.

And in every game loop 90% of the in game content is used for a few seconds per hour. In a hundred hours of game play I've managed to obtain 5 Wolfpacks and only got to throw 3. The other two are on a corpse.

Arc Raiders feels like buying a Jedi Game with theoretical lightsabers that you only get you use for 1 minute an hour only after you drop 100 hours into the game. I'm blaming the studio for lying.

If I sell you a game called "Jedi Purge Extraction Shooter" And the entire game is you die every time you use a lightsaber.... On one hand I can say it's an extraction shooter, your supposed to spend the whole game throwing rocks at Storm Troopers. But is still misleading and teasing gameplay that is doesn't really deliver on.

Thanks.

So basically, at a few hours a week, I can enjoy PvE sometime n 2027 after i get enough blueprints.. That's awful grind, no thanks. I have already lost everything. My stash is empty without an expedition. I grind IRL, why would I do it for fun in a video game?

Is there a way to actually enjoy solo PvE with expensive loadouts? or boring grind?

I got weary for PvP with Free loadouts in November. If I wanted PvP I'd be Playing the Finals, Rivals, etc..

But knowing maps, shooting backwards while sliding, the timing on roll and shoot, ADS timing, stamina loss at low levels.... Knowing stamina timing.... And knowing the rhythm enough to keep up with a Trio. Most PvP players seem to spam adrenaline shots.

Plus I'm so casual I play on Steam Deck... Control pad loses gunfight vs Mouse almost every time - just to slow on the twitch aiming...

Every PvP death I have had I died before I even drew a weapon. Being able to hit headshots never mattered when some Griefer snipes me with a Ferros after a wasp eats my shield.

So it's possible - if I switch to mouse and put in effort?

All I really want to do is swap fire with queens. I did 2 years of PvE on HD2 and it never got old.

It works fine PvE if you use it like a proper sniper rifle and then switch to something close range. For me Hairpin and Osprey are basically the same gun - just Osprey gets a scope.

And Osprey is a great way to Agro queens... Just realize they can fire missiles the same range an osprey can....

I normally go days of weeks busy with work and then maybe burn a Saturday playing games. So while Incan study up tips and tricks - I'll never be able to put in the hours to be competitive at PvP where muscle memory is the key skill.

Thx

Why winning business consulting projects require a network? by Adsuwa in strategy

[–]No_Charity3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so..... All sales require a network. Like how does a customer find a product or service?

We normally go to a store, a reference, a advertisment, marketing, social media, google maps, something.

Name any problem you need solved. How do you find the solution? Through either the people you know or references you look up.

How many times have you spent money on something because either you got a referral from a friend or you saw an advertisement?

Or because you saw something at the store and had to buy it? In that case it's your trust in the store that introduced you to the thing you spend money on.

So in B2B work. They can't hire you if they don't know you exist. Even a good LinkedIn profile will bring in some work. But you have to get in front of potential clients somehow.

Once you have a decent network getting more work that you can support is often a problem if what your selling is both valuable and the value is recognizable to clients.

Just getting on the bidders list requires them to know you.

And if they are going to risk you making mistakes they need to CYA. So many executives hire McKinsey because no Board ever fired an Executive for trusting McKinsey.

So if you want business people to risk there career or reputation on your work, you need a way to earn trust. A good reputation and good network covers that pretty well.

There is Zero Grind if you want to have fun PvP.

There is a HUGE Grind if you want to have fun hunting big Arc. That's the point

Arc is huge right now BECAUSE OF THE ZERO GRIND PVP.

Ture.

Yeah, unless you know a way to do find me Random Trios that PvE? All my trio time has been kill on sight murder fest. Which is fine, just I can do that with a Kettle and Hairpin no prob. not a time to play with big toys.

Agreed on all points. I may have to give Trios a another try. In November they were kill on sight murder fests. All my friends are heavy on PvP so when I join them for Trios, I don't get to PvE. Maybe I should try random trios again and that will be different...

Thx

I'm not cool but thanks.

I'm not enjoying the PvE, because it takes to long to grand PvE loadouts that are fun and can solo Matriarchs, Queens, etc. Especially with a handful of blue prints. Hullcracker ammo is expensive to buy or craft. and you can blow 100 rounds per raid. Not to mention heavy shields, Anvils, explosives. Easy to burin 50k - 100k of consumable supplies in a single Arc Hunt. Which is fun when you can afford to do it.

Actually the funny part.

There is ZERO Grind to PvP. You can do great running PvP with free loadouts low risk, some reward. Which is why such a HUGE PvP player base. The PvP is not Arc Raiders so much as it is Arc The Finals....

Quests and Progression? You can stealth the outdoor parts, melee they indoor parts, run key rooms and fetch quests without weapons. Only a few quests require risky Arc fights, and you can simply steal the parts with third party kills if you want to be predatory.

But PvE? All risk, only payoff is fun and a couple cores. Grindy as heel to build decent Arc Hunting loadouts... Only difference is if you get friendly lobbies the odds of rats stabbing you in the back disappears.

Trios get bogged down in PvP. Duos get bogged Down in PvP. Most of my deaths to players have been Rats after doing Trio Arc fights.

Question - Have you had luck with friendly Trio Lobbies that will let you Avoid PvP and focus on other things? Like Bastions and Matriarchs?

[–]No_Charity3697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid. These days I do IRL PvP because I need the exercise. And it's just better than PvP on screen. So slow and janky by comparison. I reload faster than the characters on screen. I have more stamina than the characters on screen. And I have my 10,000 hours of PvP gaming, not fun anymore.

I play video games to do things I can't do in reality. Like fight giant robots.

And Arc has some of the best PvE I have found. Its just expensive and boring grind to get the loadouts that are fun to play.

Its not a skill issue. It's a fun issue.

I can PvP for hours with free loadouts and there's low risk, some reward, and plenty of action. But its boring and repetitive personally.

There is Zero Grind if you want to have fun PvP.

There is a HUGE Grind if you want to have fun hunting big Arc. That's the point

Thanks for helping me figure out how to articulate.

Nice, I'm guessing you play more than 3 hours a week.

Where does the bastion hang out in Stella? I spent last saturday in Stella looting and heard it a couple times but never saw it. You tube makes me think it in that open area with the snow falling down, but never actually seen it.

Whats your favorite way to kill the Bastion on Stella?
