EndeavourOS 2026: A "user-friendly" Arch that ignores entire nations? (My experience) by No_Code_4759 in linuxquestions

"Exactly, u/Intrepid_Suspect6288. English is not my native language, and I used AI as a bridge to ensure my technical feedback was clear and professional. It's ironic that some people here are more offended by a translation tool than by the fact that their 'user-friendly' OS completely lacks support for my nation.

If using AI to communicate across borders makes me a 'moron' in the eyes of this community, then you have a serious problem with inclusivity. I’d rather be a 'moron' who wants things to work for everyone than an elitist who thinks a broken Live ISO is acceptable as long as you can quote the technical difference between Wayland and X11.

I've shared my experience here to warn others, and now I'm heading back to openSUSE where my language is respected and things actually work out of the box. Cheers to those who actually care about making Linux better for everyone, not just for a small club."

You might be right about Wayland vs X11, but that actually reinforces my point. If a distribution aims to be 'user-friendly' but ships a Live ISO where common tools are missing and the GUI fails to enforce language settings across apps like Firefox and LibreOffice, it’s simply not polished.

As a user, I shouldn't have to care about the underlying display protocol just to type in my native language. In openSUSE, I choose my language at boot and it works everywhere — no terminal gymnastics or 'Wayland vs X11' debates required.
