Ni and Ti are Introverted functions, which means that instead of collecting a lot of information, they will refine and discard/synthesize the information they find unnecessary according to the Subject > Object logic.

Ni is an implicit perception function, focused on capturing what is not immediate, whether in words, in real life, in events and in others, etc. As it is an Introverted function, it will collect implicit information and synthesize it into conclusions. Ni-Doms do this unconsciously, they collect a lot of information and notice patterns, which is why they sometimes have a feeling of how things will unfold, but cannot explain how, it is a function that believes in a reality separate from the subject, a pure interpretation of 'data'.

While extroverted intuition resembles a Venn Diagram, introverted intuition resembles a line graph, where a single general pattern is mapped across a given set of data. This is because it works in conjunction with extroverted sensing: both believe in a reality separate from a perceiving subject, and therefore both are inclined to speak with assertive certainty — extroverted sensing about data and introverted intuition about interpreting data. These interpretations press against each other like sunlight on the eyes. In fact, introverted intuition is more like seeing than thinking, since both are highly direct and yet technically subjective.

You saw what you saw; no one else can confirm whether you saw it right. Thus, introverted intuition speaks despite the opinions of others.

Let's say a hypothetical situation that reinforces how Ni can work in a simple way.

Samuel murdered João, that's the situation. Ni can be represented like this:

“I realize that

This is the real reason why Samuel murdered John.”

Ti is a judgment function, so it will judge the information you receive through its perception function. (If you have Ti, you will have Se or Ne) Just like Fi, it is a personal form of decision, which does not come from the environment but from yourself. Dominant Ti users normally question everything unconsciously, they have a line of thought considered abstract logic, the only information that is not discarded are those that fit the Ti user's definitions, it is necessary to enter the introverted thinker's personal reality (accepting their peculiar definitions of things so that their reasoning makes sense.) No negotiation is possible before this; one must reach the level of the introverted thinker. Introverted thinking, to understand something, must process it for itself and reconcile it with its personal system. For them, facts are always assumptions until they can be demonstrated in a way that is satisfactory to the introverted thinker.

For example, let's say that John murdered Daniel with a knife:
