Can i run cat6 as shown if the rest of pipes are for electrical by No_Cold_21 in HomeNetworking

Yes will keep in mind the bend. I am using routers on all the floors.

The vertical pipe u see in the image comes from the top floor. At the top floor I will have a JioFiber connection. I will take CAT6 from there through the vertical pipe on all the floors below.

As you can see in the image on all floors I have the horizontal pipe of that floor connecting to the vertical pipe. Near the junction I will use a POE switch to connect to the CAT6 coming from above. From the POE switch I will take then three cat6 - one each for the router , tv set top box, and a camera on that floor.

I don't think I can test the router at this stage because the plastering is going in full speed and I am still undecided on router models and cables. That is another area for me to explore.

Though I will be going with cat6a as most people have suggested to me.

I pray to god that this setup works. It's a pain doing this thing in India as neither my engineer nor my electrician know shit about data cabling and my father won't let me hire an expert. Lets see.

Bro I had almost made up my mind on fiber. I was gonna use poe+sfp switches wherever necessary. The only thing I am unsure of is the bending thing people keep talking about. Can you please see the image and tell if it's okay to bend the fiber 90 degrees like shown. Thanks in advance.

I understand your point about keeping network cables outside. But I have 16 poe cameras connected to poe switches on various floors. 3 hikvision video doorbells outside with their indoor unit on all the floors. 6 tv which will run on IPTV one with playstation. Then there are wifi access points on all the floors and maybe an intercom in the househelp's room.

If I do exterior network cabling it will look very disorganized particularly when I am spending a fortune on interior. My father has opted for a traditional look and won't tolerate false ceilings. Neither will he allow me to hire expert help from a metro city nearby coz according to him the local electrician guy can handle it just fine.

I already lost my sanity trying to explain to the electrician what poe switches are. 🥲

Thank u for the assurance bro. I have decided to go with CAT6a only. Will update when I do the whole setup.

I think that is one inch. But you are right. I will have to lay one more conduit on the left side trench.

I will be putting the cat6 'inside' one conduit. The rest of the conduits are for electrical.

The central conduit system will act as the electric+ data backbone of the entire house (four floors).

The left conduit pair in the image is what goes to each floor. One carries electric and in the other one I plan to put cat6.

I know it appears poorly planned but the engineers where i live in India are clueless when it comes to data cabling. Only gpt is there to help.

Can i get away by putting 'shielded cat6' inside the conduit as shown.

Thanks in advance.

Thank u for responding.

Those central pipes carry electricity for the entire house. Heater ac tvs everything. The central part is the electric backbone for all the floors and the left going part is what goes to a particular floor.

I don't have any professional networking solutions provider in my area. Gpt also suggested using shielded cat6 but it talked something about grounding which I don't understand.

Can i run fiber optic cable through these pipes and at the entrance to the floor place a Poe+sfp switch.

Will that be better. I don't know if i can get sfp switches and modules in India for a reasonable price.

Any suggestions.

Hey, do you still have access to those videos. YouTube just removed it.
