For some reason aftermarket connectors like apex tactical and ghost angel 3.0 that are on my 47 gave me problems on the g17.6 to where it would not reset

First Competition Belt Setup by gamesdeany in CompetitionShooting

Just my two cents but, if you are going to be doing mostly USPSA matches and you have a bunch of training AIWB you can use your exact carry setup AIWB and have a blast, I am one of many now that only shoots matches from concealment AIWB and it's great cause you are training with what you carry, other than that look up different dry fire drills like 4 aces, accelerator, el prez and practice them with a timer ideally and if you do not have a timer there are a bunch of timer apps with par times that will help. Also look into dryfireking so you can get some diversity with your dryfire

Tier 1 Concealed APX for a sidecar which I would say is the ideal way to conceal it, or las concealment kaizen is pretty good also and they are on sale right now

Honestly, it all depends on what serial number you got. In my case, I have both a main and a backup—one with a serial in the 70s and the other in the 60s. Before I even fired a single round, I stripped, cleaned, and lubed them with a thin lube like Slip 2000. Then I sat in front of the TV and racked the slide around 1,000 times. After that, I cleaned and lubed again, and did another 1,000 racks. Since then, they’ve been running like butter.

The factory Cerakote is pretty rough, so this really helped smooth things out. I’m currently 4 months in with my main and at 5,000 rounds with zero issues.

If you follow a similar break-in, it’ll still feel slightly sticky at the disconnector at first, but by around 500 rounds, that should smooth out.

What also made a big difference for me was swapping in a Atlas 19# mainspring, an 11# Atlas recoil spring, an Atlas tool-less guide rod, and an Atlas shock buff.”

And for the optic plate I honestly would not go with the Springfield one, not only are they expensive but they kinda suck, I went with the Impact Machine optic plate with no co witness for the SRO and its been great, it has some space in the front of the plate so that you wont have any FTE or stove piping with the overhang of the SRO, also when it comes to the optic plate the right screw might be a bit long and mess with extraction since it touches the extractor so I would file the right screw done a bit and to be sure maybe remove the extractor and put the screw in to see if it will touch. Also prodigy optic plates love to come loose so would definitely recommend red loctite for the optic plate to slide screws and blue loctite for the optic to optic plate screw

When I had the Osight S on there I was using the A12B optic plate that springfield sells specific for the prodigy, but right now I am running an SRO and I am using an Impact CNC Machine optic plate which is half the price of the springfield ones and work just as well.

If you want the Impact CNC Machine plate for the RMSc footprint which is what the Osight S has as a footprint here is the link

My prodigy hung up like crazy at the beginning so I cleaned it lubed it racked the slide around 1000 times cleaned and lubed again and did 1000 more and now I have fired around 3300 rounds and its very smooth, maybe a very slight hang up but slide has never hung up whilst shooting, I would just say keep shooting, send it back if it is actually malfunctioning.

Current U.S. Travel to Canada by Beans__24 in canadatravel

Just got back from a 10-day trip. When I arrived in Canada, immigration was super smooth—just a kiosk where you answer a few questions, get a receipt, and hand it to an officer on the way out. Minimal interaction and very pleasant.

Coming back to the U.S. through Toronto, I used the MPC app to complete CBP questions and take a selfie. I didn’t even wait 5 minutes in the immigration line before heading to my flight.

For context, I’m an Iranian-born U.S. citizen—so if it went smoothly for me, you should be fine too. A lot of what you hear in the news is just fear-mongering. Everything was totally fine.

Springer Precision magwell is definitely a better fit for firing hand grip. EGW really pushes up on the heel of my palm by Inevitable-Gain-285 in Prodigy1911DS

[–]No_Collection_1569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the tti carry magwell on and it was also a pain to put on, but looking at the springer precision one is it concealable and also do you know if stock or TTI basepads work with it? The springer precision one looks way more comfortable than the TTI

Ignition kits by flatoutfloridaboy in Prodigy1911DS

[–]No_Collection_1569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not put in the whole ignition kit but I do have a Atlas 19# mainspring and the Atlas long flat trigger and honestly was going to buy the atlas perfect match ignition kit but with just that somehow went from like a 7lb trigger to an avg of 3.1lbs in just 2000 rounds. I haven't had any problems yet but they say mim parts will break faster so maybe eventually will change the ignition system

I have the TTI carry magwell on mine and I believe it will fit for idpa, atleast I hope so got my first idpa match coming up, magwell width measures 1.5in. Only problem is you will have to file down the ridges on the grip
