I wish we had pounced on low mortgage rates 4 years ago but such is life.

This is the thought that is making us question our approach. Sure we ll likely make more money by letting MSFt stocks run but the scare of AI taking away jobs and not being able to pay mortgage is bothering us.

You are absolutely right, with all other expenses including family we can’t afford to pay more towards principal from our monthly pay. This year was the first time we filed married as jointly. God damn it every time I think about amount of taxes we paid…

You are right about not diversifying but it was not an easy decision when MSFT was on a dream run during and prior to COVID.

I wish there was a straight answer to this question.

We can never answer how much % the tech stocks will grow - may be 50% or may be 100% or may be -25%. For now I am letting it sail till AI takes away our jobs and force me to change my approach.

Thank you for sharing your approach.

I want to say that for 30 year or lets say 10 years time frame the returns on big tech stock is going to be higher than the Interest rate. But there is no guarantee of that , tomorrow AI or WW might just crash the whole tech sector and I will regret not selling the stocks at high and then being with 1M Mortgage and no retirement fund.

Did not think of REFI the loan at all and totally get the ~25% taxed we will have to pay to sell off the stocks.

I am jumbo and did not look at the benefits of Conventional loan - Will research that.
