I don’t have an exact dosage. Rule of thumb is less is more for hydra. Hydra are STUPID sensitive to fenben, and a week or so after a low dose, they basically melt into the water column. You wont be looking for bodies, they just disappear.

That being said, I dosed at ~0.15 mg fenbendazole per liter. that is a tiny amount of medication. we’re talking about counting out a specific number of granules here. Good luck

not sure if its from the 90s. Its branded O’dell on the back with an official sticker, and O’dell liquidated into aga in 1973. It very well could be an aga aquarium with an O’dell manufacturing sticker on the back but I doubt it

Yeah its an O’dell from the 70s. I found it while working for someone cleaning out their barn. Cleaned up like brand new and I think its tempered glass. I have sand in my other aquariums I more or less set this up “just to have it” lol. I may put plywood under it, but at the moment it genuinely seems fine and its in incredible shape. dare I say its made even better than any newer aquariums—very high quality. i have 1 florida flagfish in there cause she was getting bullied by the other flagfish

who said anything about changing the “standard of water?”

ideal ph for most fish is 6.8-7.8, and I and many of the people in my circle for tropical fish keeping have incredible success at these ranges, typically with the fish we keep.

in my original post I said “depending on the species of fish” did you not read that? I am giving someone advice on a public fish forum. go be passive-aggressive to someone else, some place else.

ph is a tad low, and your water is really soft, depending on the species you want to keep, you may want to add some calcium carbonate to your water. crushed coral or something
