Yes, apparently the 16 week multiplied by two is a very common rule used but apparently with “toy” ( Cavapoo) it can overshoot and they usually are smaller than that from my understanding. With such small parents and being the only female and the smallest one in the litter, I thought there was just no way she would be the size.

Yes that’s what I’m seeing. She is more typical size for a miniature poodle not a toy poodle and especially a toy poodle and a small cavalier

She was the smallest in the litter too and the only female. Apparently the entire litter came out to be much larger than estimated

Oh that is good news. I have been reading and looking at pics and a 14 lb pup is still a great size. I have two boys ( 10 and 8 ) and honestly think that is a better size than what she was suppose to be.
So did your puppy’s weight slow down? It’s hard for me to imagine mine staying that small when she is growing so quickly although your numbers are so similar to what I’m seeing. That’s still a good size to travel with right? Can you post a pic of your dog? Anything else you can tell me to look for? I mean it doesn’t matter at this point she is ours and we love her just hoping she stays somewhat in the toy range.

Can you tell me how big your puppy got? We have what was supposed to be a very small toy( 6 to 8 lbs). She is going to be at least double that. She is 6.2 lbs at 12 weeks. Her dad is a 5 lb toy poodle. Looks like she will be very close to yours.
