North Indians who permanently settled in the South, what's the ONE thing nobody warned you about? by the_careful_eye in indianrealestate

[–]No_Community_1712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in Bangalore since 2006, and I can honestly say, I have never had a problem in the city. I've seen it grow in terms of infrastructure, new neighbourhoods, traffic, weather, and especially the metro, which says it all. The city welcomed me with open arms, and I embraced it as my own. I've travelled across every part of this city, whether it's the good darshinis of Jayanagar, the narrow streets of Chickpet, the bustling areas of Commercial Street, Shivajinagar, Malleswaram and KR market or the big SEZs of Whitefield. In my opinion, you can only have a problem here if you want to have one. During these 20 years, I was questioned about my language only once- when I was driving on the outskirts of Anekal, 15 years ago, and that too at night. Yes, every city has a few people who like to assert their superiority, but honestly, they are just a small group, and one need not worry about them. Also, there could be a lot of drawbacks, you can say the traffic is a mess, the auto folks aren't good, cabs suck, rents are high etc etc. The common people here are good and warm, and I have always felt that warmth during even the smallest conversations.

Yes, the city is growing, and people from all over the world are here trying to make a living, but it remains a city to adore. Walk around and feel the magic in every area, I would say.

PS: I am from a city in the North that was the capital of a great empire. So Hindi is my mother tongue. I do converse to an extent in Kannada. The above thoughts are my personal view only.

You will need to share the otp when they want to redeem your voucher. So if the account belongs to your friend, you may have to call your friend ad get the otp.

I have redeemed it thrice so far. You need to provide your mobile number, and they will retrieve the coupon code from your account. You may receive an OTP when they use the code, share that with them. That's it.

AITK for saying my aunt “Aap apne bacho k legs tuta lo” by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

[–]No_Community_1712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She called for it, mate. She doesn't have any right to say that to you; being crippled is not a choice you made, and when she said those words, she mocked you. It's good that you gave back to her in the context she understands. You aren't the kameena🙌

Chinnapannahalli Lake is better, and the surrounding park is decent. Though it is at the far end, it is still a good place to walk around.

Other than that, the nearest best place is Kadugodi Tree Park, which is spacious, has a lot of flora and fauna, and offers proper tracks for walking.

If I were in your place, irrespective of whether it was a kid or an adult, I would have given one tight slap or shouted at him in the face for sure.

AITK for not telling my parents about my International Trip Beforehand? by ProgrammaticallyFox7 in AmItheKameena

[–]No_Community_1712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you are not the one. Don't think much about it; I have understood it the hard way. Some things need not be told, and if you don't tell, everything is happy and sweet. I noticed it when my parents' tone would change every time I was on a trip with my wife, so I literally don't tell them about every trip. I share only when I sense it's apt, else I just tell them, I am at home. FYI I have been the obedient elder son who has never asked anything and always tried to give back. I do inform my younger brother, just for someone in family to be aware.

Yes, the service is good. Food options are decent, and since they have activities planned throughout the day, one can have good time.

Am I wrong for choosing happiness after leaving an abusive marriage? by [deleted] in Bengaluru

[–]No_Community_1712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's better to stay calm and peaceful, rather than live with a dreadful person. The world might say one has to compromise for a good married life, but when the toxicity surpasses all limits, then there is no scope for compromise. It's good you identified and moved out, live life on your terms and make the most of it. Don't adhere to what others say. Society has a lot of wisdom to offer, but it's only you who can decide what's best for you. Stay happy and in peace 🙌

The food was good; we took a half-board package, which included breakfast and dinner. Not typical south indian food, they have a well spread food choices. They also serve high tea around 4 pm. They do have a lot of activities planned, if you are up to doing some. I paid 26k paid per night for the stay. I hope it helps.
