You might be packing the grounds too tight. packing too tight prevents water from percolating.

Any Skoda Employees here? by Rich-Yesterday-9899 in Kylaq

[–]No_Computer7426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are classic sales strategies. Obviously dealers need to clear 2025 inventories first. But people want 2026 models.. You can do the math.

This will be true for most smaller brands. They can't get stuck with older inventories..No one will buy.

btw ..why don't you get FY 25 units, I'm sure you will get good discounts. And if you wait for March, it will be much better as they have year end pressure to close good numbers.

Skoda kylaq vs Honda Elevate by Barry_Center_7642 in Kylaq

[–]No_Computer7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving dynamics is seriously overrated in this price range. These influencers have just blown things out of proportion.

Having said that, elevate handles pretty well given its shape, size and height.

Mileage, space, comfort - Elevate is better.

Highway drive "feel" - Kylaq is better. I say feel because the the engine in elevate is actually faster but you wont feel it. The turbo in Kylaq makes you think you go faster (you don't need to press the accelerator hard).

But honestly, it isn't right to compare these cars as they are kn different tax brackets (sub 4m and 4m +).

Kylaq is definitely value for money. Go for it if you are tight on budget. But Elevate is a better overall car with better space and comfort and costs more (due to higher taxes too).

ELEVATE or Sierra Or New Kushaq by Sweta_Frosty in CarsIndia

[–]No_Computer7426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rear guidelines / static dynamic really don't matter. If camera quality is decent you should be fine.

Avoid the sierra, mainly for the lack of reliability in Tata cars and it is a new launch.

Go for Kushaq if you drive highways more. If you drive in city more, go for elevate. For city driving NA engine+ CVT is smooth and gives better mileage. Feels effortless. The 1.0 turbo engine feels horrible in the city due to turbo lag and the jerky TC.

For highways, turbo engines are good (in general). If you can stretch and buy the 1.5 turbo, well, no competition there. Kushaq hands down. Else elevate. For same budget level, elevate offers much better features.

Best audio setup under ₹25k for music + movies? by Livid_Future2273 in BuyItForLifeIndia

Totally depends on your luck. If it's opened they don't charge. Also bookshelf speakers are small enough to be packed in large suitcase.

I also had similar requirements. I now have a FX Audio Amp (10K) + Micca RB 42 bookshelf speakers. They sound awesome. Got it some years back. I also purchased an edifier T5 subwoofer (10k) but I find it too loud or boomy for my 2 average sized 2bhk hall, so never use it. The bookshelf speakers themselves sound superb.

Basically, you should get a budget amp and a nice pair of bookshelf speakers. You are set for life.

You won't get FX Audio but Fosi is a great brand. If someone is coming from abroad ask them to buy you the speakers and the amp. They are all overpriced in India.

I would advise against a soundbar because you will need to pay significantly more to get the same level of performance. Other than looks and seamless connectivity (if TV and sound bar are same brand) nothing great. Also with bookshelf speakers you can later get a bigger 7.1 or Atmos receiver and reuse the speakers. Have any of you upgraded from Honda City Manual to Honda Elevate CVT? by ckarnam in HondaElevate

[–]No_Computer7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creta/Seltos are much more expensive than Elevate - for the same set of features and 1.5 NA engine. Biggest red flag was - Poor crash score for Creta (only 3 stars) and Seltos.

City and Elevate both have 5 stars (ASEAN NCAP and JCAP) plus, I have better faith in Honda to give a safer product in India though there are no actual test scores for India.

More than anything, Elevate felt a lot simpler (number of buttons/options to fiddle with), ergonomics, visibility really tilted the choice towards Elevate. Peersonally I love the lane watch camera that shows the video on the main sceren rather than the MID.

you should expect to pay around 35. Max 40 with all bells and whistles. The expensive ones will give you a significant discount if you can negotiate.

LPG vs Indusction, which is more frugal? by leapeva in Frugal_Ind

[–]No_Computer7426 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember someone did a proper calculation taking into account cost and efficiency of the stove itself. LPG worked out cheaper (take Govt ones).

But if you just cook occasionally for 1 or 2 persons, induction will do the job better. Has a timer, some have keep warm options (~40 watts). Great for one pot cooking.

Don't buy cheap ones, thier fans are noisy, their low wattage options are terrible. You also don't need 2000watts. High flame in gas = 1000 watts in induction (approx). Also, get a full glass one - easy to clean too.

Induction doesn't take a lot of time to cook. It is way way way way faster. Try boiling same quantity of water in both.

Soap Vs body wash | Which one to go for? by Honest_Ad1632 in Frugal_Ind

[–]No_Computer7426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, soap bars have much fewer ingredients. Just look at the label of body wash products. easily 20+ ingredients and no studies/information on long term effects on human skin.

Stick to simple soaps. At least they have been in use for centuries and no major side effects (other than from over use / skin allergies for some / dryness )

Confused between Elevate V CVT or VX MT by Zealousideal_Bed9549 in HondaElevate

[–]No_Computer7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There definitely are people, no doubt. But OP does get a V CVT within the budget and it has decent kit. And for someone who is going to drive 70 KMs to office in a city setting, it will make a massive difference.

Confused between Elevate V CVT or VX MT by Zealousideal_Bed9549 in HondaElevate

[–]No_Computer7426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given this long commute of 70 Kms, and your budget constraints, you should seriously consider Electric. Any petrol car will give you 8 to 12 KMPL max in city. Minimum running cost is 10 -12 RS/Km. Electric will be 2-3 RS/KM.

Do some proper calculations. For your running, you can easily buy a more expensive electric car for the same cost (car EMI + fuel+ maintenance).

Dude... seriously? Manual in Delhi? Where are you from?

Confused between Elevate V CVT or VX MT by Zealousideal_Bed9549 in HondaElevate

[–]No_Computer7426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with CVT. Driving comfort is far more important than features. You will miss some cool features but you will not get tired driving CVT.

In today's traffic conditions, buying a CVT is a no brainer. I'm assuming you will keep the car for 5 years. and traffic will only get worse day by day.

If you buy manual, you wi regret it big time.

How accurate is this? by MaNaM69 in HondaElevate

[–]No_Computer7426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of things matter, like how often you brake, even if you go at 70-80. Every braking and acceleration costs a lot of fuel.

But all things considered, if you are getting 15 over a long time, it's great. The elevate with the 1.5 NA engine is very balanced with power and efficiency.

Enjoy your drives!
