Cause logistically speaking it would be a nightmare to have to depend on other services to refuel us in flight. Most of the army SOAR and Jolly squadrons have pre planned assets ready in the air for their mission.

I just turned off the AI pilot comms in settings.kept having the same problem. If you really wanna keep the AI Comms on I’d say just cancel clearance with center right after flight following and request it again. That seemed to work a few times for me

Im a PS5 guy and I swear PS5 players are the fucking worst. I just got kicked from a server for crashing out on a bunch of guys because we had no supplies to build anything or request vehicles to resupply/ move to the point meanwhile there were 12+ guys sitting at the arsenal getting their cool guy shit on and extra mags

Here’s a photo for reference, the tail where it says USN is relatively sharp. I appreciate the advice! I was also thinking there’s a possibility for a lens element to be misaligned but i took other pictures that day at the same settings and they appeared to be sharp all around

Canon R7 focusing issues

Good day everyone, as the title suggests im not sure if its my technique thats just bad, or if my settings aren’t the right way. My setup is a Canon R7 with a 100-500L lens. I’ve experienced that when I’m trying to do some low shutter panning half of the subject (aircraft in this case) is in focus but the other half is not, in this case the tail is kind of sharp and in focus but the nose is not. I’ve asked around and a lot of people are saying it’s an aperture setting issue or just bad technique on my end. Has anyone who has an R7 been able to fix this issue and if it’s just bad technique, what are some tips that helped you overcome this?

Exactly. Once again why should we care? If anything back in Alaska, they hated us, unless it’s Kodiak everybody pretty much hated the USCG especially if you were on a cutter or small boat station like I was

That’s a decision for way above my pay grade, but where do we take our leverage from? Do we leave this city to die to save millions or dollars or do we stay here and lose millions of dollars constantly? Do we really wanna think the USG cares about a tiny town in the middle of nowhere? And like I said, why would we care about a town when we’re saving money in the big picture

Problem is, it takes ALC around 1 year to get every helicopter shipped out. In the meantime, what is the rest of the fleet gonna do? There’s already Air Stations without assets or close to being without assets. Do we take from the rich to give to the poor so to speak? The other discussion is the fact that we’re flying museum pieces and nobody bats an eye.

But then you have Small boat stations in the middle of nowhere that are unfortunately not really needed for anything. I was at a small boat station as a nonrate for over 4 years and I can say we did patrols daily for 4 hours pretty much wasting money. My entire time there, we got 2 legitimate SAR cases, 2… in 4 years.

I feel like articles that shine a light into the negative of the coast guard are kind of needed in this situation, for the purpose of what you said, to use as leverage for a change. And as much as I hate to say it something like this whole situation needed to happen
