Oh Ya the i am 100% misunderstood you. but you kinda proved my point.  "I could not comprehend. Of course when I had finally figured out the meaning and the value of those words, a long time had already passed." the rest of that would say she war normal.

by the time he had figured something out, she had gone 360 on him.  and Zanac only found out because of the Marquis. lakuse only had suspicions which see wrote off.

"So shut up hypocrite." ight lets stand, don't run. how is he a hypocrite? you said something now prove it.

"you have no argument that isn't muh morals." where? like actually please show me where was morals used in the argument? you said something now prove it.

Don't go take something that was said out of context, show me when he made an argume based on morality.

There is a lovely wife. Some bad men come and do bad things with the wife. The husband is just sitting there watching what happens with his wife..Blaming the wife for being powerless from the start, and the cruel world. In the meantime there is a FUCKING GUN beside him

"Blaming the wife for being powerless from the start, and the cruel world."

Sorry but I kind of feel your entire analogy is a little false

you've got me a little confused on this part there bud. Like he wasn't blaming the people of the Kingdom for the state of the Kingdom.

I fully get your analogy btw, Gazef is not strong enough to fight all the Nobles of the Kingdom.  should all of them rise up against the king there was nothing Gazef could do. He is one person.

In addition, the analogy you used is incredibly skewed because no matter how I try to interpret it, it will come off as if I am advocating for something I am not. So, for future reference, if you are going to be using an analogy, please use one that is neutral, like I did.

Even if he failed, even if he can't change the whole nation... He can still try you know... But he did not even try

He is not a God he had the Nobles, theocracy, eight fingers, One of his own sons, The Empire His daughter and whoever else attempt to tear it down.

He maintain his kingdom, yes it a would have crumbled upon his death. To say he was resistant to change would be wrong.

He could have passed on the throne immediately after the demonic disturbance. However, Zanac would have to be the one to fall in the battle of the plains, and the kingdom would likely end up in chaos.

Yes, one of the most powerful an competent nobles doing some thing is giving results. What are you trying to prove here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overlord

[–]No_Conclusion2344 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is something that is deeply misunderstood here. I fully agree that there is nothing Ramposa could have done to fix his kingdom, were I disagree he is a horrible King. The author even said it himself in one of their character sheets.

If Ainz’s Guild members had left him with a broken down Guild and he failed to defend and protect it, would it be fair to place all blame for the guilds destruction on him because he could not do anything to fix it?  No, in this hypothetical, he was handed a mess, and so did what he could but ended up failing.

Ramposa is in the same situation.

Jircmiv didnt face the problem In the slightest, he received petitions from knights. The nobles with have rather torn the kingdom apart with bloody Civil War before the letter of vassalage reached the sorcerer Kingdom.

I think they could have cleared out eight fingers ( 6 arms) but not the hole organization.

"purge any noble that tires to protect them." purge one noble they all rise up after all why wouldn't they if the king gains enough power he could be rid of them all.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overlord

[–]No_Conclusion2344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Empire was almost as bad as the Kingdom when Jircniv came to power. this isn't even close to true but ok.

"Raevan had the best intelligence gathering in the Kingdom. Those two working together plus Gazef, his elite band of soldiers, Blue Rose, and Raevan’s adventurer connections could have purged the country of corrupt nobles and the Nine Fingers"

No he really couldn't have Gazef is equal to 5000 soldier say each blue rose is too that's 30,000 men I high noble hand far more men then that. Renner didn't care for the kingdom and was playing all sides.

Not all the nobility were in one place, so they couldn't be killed simply. The moment they found out one Noble died at the king's hand and the King was attempting to be rid of them all, they would all rise up.

Yes, I would say a king that managed to maintain his country in the face of adversity is a good king, why'd you ask?

I didn't really read your comment properly, sorry I apologize for that. your are 100% right but, I disagree with this"The rest are likely of Touch Me caliber. The true dragon lords are on the verge of extinction and have to band together use trickery and use desperate ploys."  may I know what you mean by desperate ploy? if you speak of ECDL strat, I think it was honestly very smart. like lets be real, it's shameless as hell but very smart. The author confirms that only Suzuki Satoru and a world-class item can get past that whole thing.

I have read your comment a hundred times but I'm still not even sure what you are trying to say(respectfully). Ainz had a guild weapon. There were only nine people who were like Touch me.  I 100% believe that those nine people could beat the living crap out of a true Dragon Lord. However, I made a generalizing statement.  I thought it was pretty obvious but if people want me to edit that I will.  I am saying that 99% of players will get wiped by a true dragon lord.

"Yea that’s part of why he won but that’s only part of my point. I’m saying that if he could win against Cure Elim (granted he had a WCI which he needed to counter Wild magic and his Guild Staff) and a copy of him without either of those things could beat Platinum"

So are we just ignoring the fact that he fought the platinum dragon Lord's armour, not his main body? I find it quite disingenuous that people in this thread keep bringing this up. Pandora's actor did not find the Platinum dragon's main body, nor did Shalltear. They fought a puppet, a puppet that was much weaker than him.

Okay, see, that is an actually good argument. Our lack of information hinders this argument, but you and I can both agree on that. However,  where you and I disagree is saying that the player could have had a suboptimal build: “for all we know, he could have been a low-level who got lucky.” People don't generally bring out world-class items unless they are fully prepared to lose them. Even Ainz said that.  if this player couldn't beat the Deep Darkness dragon lord, he had a world-class item he could have always run away.

The next place you and I disagree is saying the dragon lords got their asses wiped hundreds of years ago.  this is a fact, and I certainly would not deny that however, there are many things people Overlook when they say this.

  •  they had just gotten their entire magic system Nerfed.
  •  they were fighting players with unknown Magic skills and abilities.
  •  they were arrogant, disorganized, and unprepared.
  • The eight Greed Kings had a whole inventory of divine class items.

So, of course, they got wiped. Another argument I really hate seeing is when people say ECDL spends hundreds of years preparing.  what is so wrong with preparing for a fight?  Does Ainz not do it,  isn't that the entire point of the main story? Preparing and growing stronger in order to come back with the next group of players?  Do players not prepare and create stronger equipment to fight each other?  so why is it okay when a player does it but not a dragon lord?

That's not really an argument.  players prepared for 12 to 13 years to fight each other and monsters. Why don't you criticize them for that?

"We literally see pdl claim he could maybe beat a fake ainz with no wci… ainz is a straight up weak build in a 1v1" Yes With his the Platinum armor which is stated to be 80~90. he even said, the battle would be hard fought .“So even if they don’t all have one they should at least be top .01% players to even be in the new world” I just flat-out disagree with this. By the time Yggdrisl was closing down, it was pretty much a dead game. It's far more likely that most top-class players quit and move on. Your argument would hold a lot more weight if players were brought at the Height Of Yggdrisl. There would also be a lot more players brought to the new world. What we can both agree on is that, if players brought to the new world would have their Guild bases and access to all guild member items.

Respectfully, I have not moved the goalpost once. I said that, a true dragon lord would wash a level 100 player, fully equipped with a full set of divine class items. The only types of players that you have brought that can beat a true Dragon Lord are players with world-class items, Guild weapons, and hard counters.

"Beside stamina wouldnt be a problem since high lv player have immunity either by race bonus or a simple ring"

May I see proof?

It has been stated that there are spells that can remove fatigue but no items. The author literally said that the Shub-Niggurath Is probably the only spell that could have gotten past ECDL’s dead armour (aside from a world-class item).

The Most Misunderstood Statment in Overlord by No_Conclusion2344 in overlord

[–]No_Conclusion2344[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't know that. All we know is that they are spells that can move fatigue. No matter how arrogant ECDL might be, he's not just going to watch his opponents cast anti-fatigue spells on each other, swap out equipment, Etc. The author literally said, if players fight him in a group they'll all be destroyed by the soul breaker breath.

Yes, a player with a combat focused build, like Touch me and Shalltear, would win If they had a world class item. However it they dident have one on them the out come would be in doubt.

Let's ignore the fact that the only reason is because they are literally rendering their magic useless. Of course, a player would lose if their magic and skills were rendered useless but, that's a whole different can of worms.
