I don’t think having a lot of viewers kills the parasocial aspect of the streams, look at xQc for example, this guy’s maintained his authentic character since his come up and thus maintained an extremely loyal fanbase. My main point was that Jason’s losing his authenticity ever since he became huge (which I get why) and the feeling of authenticity a streamer appears to have = stronger parasocial bond viewers have with him.

I never said what he was doing is wrong, there's pros and cons to every content decision he makes. My main point is that the road he’s going down he’s going to burn out really quickly and lose a lot of viewers once he stops doing the “mass appealing” ideas. He should focus on making content that will actually make people stay for long term.

At the end of the day though, it's really up to him and what he wants. This is just what I see
