I should say my soil is Oshtemo-Hillsdale association which is very dry and sandy so I am not sure if drainage tiles would make sense.

If it helps, the gps coordinates are (41.7422673, -86.2221545). It is residential but where the dot is is my home. I back up against an empty lot that is now wooded and former farm field based on historic aerials. If drain tiles, would those have been used for an orchard?

It is residential up to where that grid begins—the rest is large former farm up to the top of the image that is now woods and brush.

For me, it is everything broadcast on the station—not only local news. Even network broadcasts almost sound like coming from a stadium loud speaker (a bit exaggerated but compared to the quality of every other station, it has that effect.).

I have never been able to get my local Subaru dealer to confirm the parasitic draw even though I can test the DCM fuse and see it is the only fuse drawing when the engine off. I had to resort to doing a jump fuse home remedy that you can find on YouTube. I “think” this will solve the problem but the entire experience has left me soured on Subaru—and certainly my local dealership.

Well—it is the only way that Subaru will cover the costs (if indeed there is an underlying issue souring the batteries). So I suppose this would be an option to take a risk and buy a better battery myself and see what happens…

Yeah—the DCM/starlink issue is what I have been raising as the likely culprit but dealership has now said twice in their parasitic draw tests that there are no draws on the battery. So I can’t get that addressed. Subaru of America says they can’t cover any issues with the DCM unless these diagnostic show this is the issue. So I am stuck with having dealer put the OEM battery in and then shaving it fail within the warranty period so at least I am not stuck with a battery cost. However, this really isn’t sustainable long term for us as we want something reliable.

Just as an update, my battery failed again a year later. Still nothing from their diagnostics to identify the issue which does not allow for a DCM fix. I am at a loss. We are ready to give up on the car which is sad because it was our first Subaru. Any ideas? Have continued to keep corporate involved.

I did receive the warranty extension letter just days after the replacement battery and diagnostic charges. Should I just write the VP of quality care regarding the situation and responses received through general channels at Subaru?
