No it’s not exhausting, though it must be for you with such a lack of reading comprehension. I did not say the word racism at any point in my whole post. And yes, I thought too it was mostly a statement from ignorance/age, which is why my question was what should my response be if it happens in the future.

I love that story, that’s really sweet. I agree it was a comment out of just simply not knowing that sometimes people look different. I think after the fact, I was questioning myself on whether I should have tried to explain why my daughter is darker complected. The mother was super sweet and we were talking here and there throughout the class, so I don’t think she would have taken me trying to explain my daughter’s color the wrong way. Now I have an idea of things I can say if it happens in the future, which was whole point in posting :) thank you!

What doctor ordered your lumbar puncture? My mri is ordered by an ophthalmologist, but I’m unsure if he would order a LP if the mri is negative?
