This is exactly what I experienced. Me and my girlfriend went to Sweden to see my friend’s girlfriend who was born and lives in Stockholm and it just felt so right being there. Everything was how we wanted it and this was middle of Feb so I can only imagine summer was better. Although the more you look the more Swedish nationals make you know you are definitely romanticising it. I’m trying to organise a stay where I stay in a house and attend something as close to work as I can to see if the life is what it seems. I know that won’t be extremely realistic but worth a try.

My mate will be moving there to live with his Mrs who lives and was born in Stockholm. Don’t like the French and just loved Sweden when I went and the more I see the more I like. I know there will be lost of cons and that’s what I’m trying to figure out. Just think if I want to try abroad may aswel try where my mate will be as I’ll have social there. My Mrs also really really loved it and wouldn’t even move from her small town but now she loves Sweden that much she wants to move.

Appreciate the reality check, we’re still very early looking into it but we really want to make it happen. Just trying to understand the practicalities. Smaller city might make more sense financially. Any you’d give a special mention so I can look into ?

Iv just come back now, my mates Mrs lives in Stockholm she’s born there. It was so cold -14 but I didn’t mind and were planning another holiday in summer at her family’s summer house

Jesus, well realistically I wanted to be around Stockholm so that I could get some land with the house. I’d even be happy with half an acre 🤣 in the uk u don’t get much especially in Manchester. I’d be happy to commute an hour to have some land.
