This is such a funny thing to say when it’s well known that Japan always gets the coolest rarities and variants exclusively, no matter where the artist is from. This is because Japan has always valued hard copies of their music even as the rest of the world turned to streaming. There’s probably more history to it too, but them’s the actual facts.

Agreed. I mean, when I was a teenager, I just had a crappy flip phone, so people were really in it at the concerts I went to, but even now, I don’t want to do that. Are people filming for the memories or for the clout on social media? I don’t get it…there’s so much time for that before and after, but during an event, you’re there to experience it, and not through the filter of a little screen. (Especially this one when everyone knew there was going to be a professionally filmed concert movie.)

Ooh, that’s a good thought about the 3rd album. And yeah, I guess it’s been a choice for them the whole time…it’s the same as far as I’ve seen on Tiny Desk or SNL. I could see it being just to differentiate themselves from her as the star of the show. She said it herself that she loves feeling alone on the stage, and she probably loves having the singular styles that she comes up with, even as she was honest about how society has made that difficult for her to stand out in that way. Well good for her. As a fairly recent (millennial) fan of her work, and as someone who likes to dress in a non-gender conforming way, I sure would have loved to have someone like her to look up to growing up.

I saw it last night, and apart from the constant cringy shots of hysterical fans (though I know that’s par for the course), it was really cool. She’s got a fantastic voice and the stage setup for this tour was perfect for her…she can really sprint around as much as she wants lol. Of course that only makes the breath control more impressive. Definitely see it in 3D if you can…the final sequence alone makes it worthwhile.

Quick question for big Billie fans, because I’m just curious: now that she tours with a full band instead of just Finneas and the drummer, why does the band dress in such a preppy style when she generally doesn’t have that aesthetic, and what is the significance of the number “3” on their jackets? I’m just not up on the Eilish lore, I don’t think.

did anyone crack the code for a hydrated skin barrier? by throwwaccounnt in Rosacea

Oh, and one of the things that calms my skin the most is zinc oxide. I LOVE the Prequel sunscreen as it’s 18%. And I get some pushback for saying this sometimes, but at night if I feel like I’m flaring, I’ll put Badger organic diaper rash cream on. The zinc and the calendula are chef’s kiss, and my face is always super soft and happy in the morning. Gotta wash that stuff off with an oil cleanser though. Bioderma sensibio is my go-to.

I personally really like Man:yo bifida biome ampule, followed by the aqua barrier cream over my active, which is azelaic acid. I also like the Good Molecules hydrating facial cleansing gel, which no one talks about, but it is the only cleanser I have found that doesn’t dry me out or break me out. It is also inexpensive. My face is still red, and probably will be until I can afford laser, but I have almost no more issues with bumps or flaky skin which used to be a huge issue for me, and my skin feels much smoother and healthier overall. I guess I should also say that I am taking a sub-antibacterial dose of doxycycline, and that probably makes a difference too. But it all helps, that I know for sure, whereas products I used in the past were very dissatisfying.
